@brettcalhounn That's exactly what I've been learning while building AptlyHired. People don't buy "AI features"—they buy a future where getting hired is less stressful and doesn't require juggling five different tools.

VCs don't fund ideas. They fund stories about ideas. The best founders aren't pitching what the company does. They're pitching what the world looks like when it works.

@buildwithyasin aptlyhired.com Built this because job hunting shouldn't require juggling 5 different tools. AptlyHired brings resumes, job matching, interview prep, and application management into one place. 🚀

Just shipped another update to AptlyHired today. 🚀 The biggest lesson so far isn't technical. Shipping is easy. Getting real users to tell you why your product sucks (or doesn't) is the hard part. Back to building. aptlyhired.com

Drop your portfolio (or your best website) I’m gonna rate it. Last time 50000 people saw it. Consider this as marketing.

@aviralbhat Agreed. India has world-class engineering talent. Building globally competitive AI labs requires long-term capital, conviction, and a willingness to invest before the returns are obvious.

India's top 5 IT companies have generated total net profit of 10L Cr or $125B since 2015, of which $90B was given in dividends Anthropic has raised a total of $40B in the same time frame, with India's IT majors giving 2.5x in just dividends We could have made a serious AI lab

@waitin4agi_ The biggest takeaway isn't the $8k—it's the willingness to throw away 13,970 generations in pursuit of quality.

8k USD spent on just Seedance credits for our next video. 14k generations, but we’ve selected just 30 shots. Regenerations again and again till we got it just right. Tomorrow :)

@aviralbhat I'd add one more ingredient: consistency. One DM rarely changes anything, but dozens of genuine conversations over months can completely change the trajectory of what you're building.

The ability to DM so many people without a response is likely a sign of extreme self-confidence Belief in what you're building is so high that multiple rejections or nos do not matter Combine that with talent to build, and you have a killer entrepreneur

@aviralbhat Great teams often have something in common beyond credentials—they've spent years building deep domain expertise before timing meets opportunity. AI feels like one of those rare moments where that preparation compounds.

Vishal Sikka's startup raised $32M to use AI to disrupt IT, years after he tried to invest in OpenAI via Infy Founding trio of him, CTO Navin Budhiraja, CDO Sanjay Rajagopalan is incredible Lesser known about Navin (uncle) is that he is JEE AIR 1 from Dad's batch Cracked team

@aviralbhat I think AI has dramatically lowered the cost of building. A couple of builders with AI tools can now prototype what used to require a small team. Hackerhouses amplify that by compressing feedback loops and surrounding people with others who are shipping.

Interesting new surge of hackerhouses in India, specifically in Bangalore I think it's a good thing to enable and encourage people to become entrepreneurs Wonder what the reason for the surge is, and if some interesting products are coming out of those

@aviralbhat The interesting part isn't just the housing growth—it's what follows. Talent, startups, services, and capital usually compound around these mega-regions. It'll be interesting to see how founders outside Bengaluru adapt to that shift.

Mumbai-Pune metro area added almost 10L homes from 2021 and 2025 Pune is almost 4x Kolkata, Raigad is larger than Chennai, the metro area is more than HYD+BLR+AMD Clearly India's biggest growth engine, which will likely merge into one large connected $ 1T+ mega region
