The case for space data centers! 1400 GW DC projects (> entire US installed capacity) are waiting for US grid; VA's wait: 7yrs. >50% DCs globally delayed because of power. I often get asked about TCO for space vs earth. Wrong question! The right Q: what's the cost of DC you can't build for 7yrs? AI compute demand 2x every 6-12mos, grid capacity grows ~4% y/y. There will soon not be enough power on earth to feed our AI landlords :) But it's going to be a massive challenge across solar panels, radiation safety, thermal engineering, reliability, launch costs & much more - a really fun & interesting challenge - would love to get your take @PhilipJohnston @awaisahmedna @elonmusk /n

One of the most overlooked AI opportunities in the next 24 months is voice agents for boring businesses. Every HVAC, plumbing, and pest control company in America is sending calls to voicemail after 5pm. One AI voice agent fixes it overnight. Most owners have never even heard of this technology, yet alone know how to implement it. The person who packages this up and sells it to 500 of them is going to be very rich...very quietly.

Recently someone asked me if I were to do a software startup today, what would it be about? My immediate reaction was that I probably wouldn’t do a software startup at all. Instead, I’ll perhaps choose an idea with heavy operational buildup that cannot be replicated easily.
