@SpeakSamuel Think these might be lining up for the Gold and Platinum cards first post reallocation to EB category by Oct 2026

I'm strongly opposed to this policy, but just like during the COVID travel ban, these unused green cards will be reallocated to many Indian and Chinese visa holders inside the US who are disadvantaged by the per country caps.

USCIS is funded by application fees paid by applicants not by appropriations. The only reason to "scale" back is a pretext to add to the backlogs and deprive applicants of decisions the agency is required to make.

It’s due to the country caps which is the root evil cause - I think this is what he was trying to convey! In this day and age - Merit based Immigration should supersede Country Capped Employment Immigration!

From personal experience, I know how hard and frustrating it can be to be an Indian immigrant stuck in a never ending green card queue, but I doubt acting entitled, or worse, *disparaging* other nationalities as less deserving serves the cause very well. Let’s not be jerks.
