Students had so much fun sledding today using our homemade sit-upon mats!

As an annual tradition, students have been busy harvesting and planting poppy seeds in honour of Remembrance Day. Every class is given a package of seeds to plant from our own school garden.

@HeatherLarson38 7 different classes from grades K - 4 participated. They loved it!!!

This type of project is one of the best. I love how all kids love to build. Whether it’s with wood, sheets, clothes pins or whatever, they will find away. What a great learning experience and fun. They must have been tickled pink. Thank you.

Inspired by a squirrel drey (nest) students worked together throughout the day to build a survival shelter from forest debris (branches, leaves, sticks, etc) .@AndersonEagles

After students planted, watered, harvested, washed and chopped potatoes, they enjoyed their reward: French Fries! Made in the air fryer. Students really enjoyed the fries saying they were “better than McDonalds”!

Students were excited to search for mushrooms in our local park and learn about mushroom safety. #Takemeoutsideday .@AndersonEagles

Students were busy harvesting beans, corn and squash from our Three Sisters garden. What do you do with all the beans? Put them in order from longest to shortest!

So, this happened today! 🫣 🤗 🥳

How do you get students to run for 40 minutes without complaining? Paper Bag kites!. Students hold the bag until it fills with air and then release. Then they run after it to catch it! Students learn the force of wind and where improperly disposed litter goes.

Wonderful display of sunflowers in the school garden. Students have been looking closely and enjoying watching all the creatures visiting the flowers. .@AndersonEagles
