@ame142002 I have severe anxiety, but not about planes. I'd recommend talking to your primary care provider about it. They're not a psychiatrist, but they're trained enough to in most cases prescribe anxiety meds for acute situations for someone without a diagnosis.

how is one supposed to get over flight anxiety with everything thats been going on with airports lately. 10 y/o me was such a fearless flyer and now i dread it 🫩

@Patooie3P i feel like i have the same approach as you once im actually on the plane LOL, its weirdly liberating to not be able to really leave the plane and try to sleep/know that you'll be safely in your destination in a few hours once youve gotten over the anxiety

@Patooie3P i guess a combination of the two in a way? seeing clear administrative failures in TSA bc of the shutdown and the incident caused by having a single person try to run ATC at leguardia makes me question things. statistically i know things are rly safe but it still bugs me a bit 🥲

@jodi_exe i believe it! sorry if my language was clumsy, i was in a poor mood at the time. my intention was to make it clear i meant afab nonbinary/transgender people as they're also victims of sexism, i didnt mean to sound exclusionary and im sorry that they deal with this garbo as well

@ame142002 "unless you were born male" it's important to recognize that transmisogyny is also rooted in the same misogyny and women who are trans in this scene also deal with this. once these boys register you as a woman you get subjected to crap regardless if you're "born male."

im sad to say this but uni and by extension fgc is the most misogynistic gaming space I've seen. the way that so many people who project an image of male feminism or 'woke' or whatever talk about women behind closed doors and in private discords is vile and completely shameless

@cutiehappiness yeah you're absolutely right theres a ton of it thats accepted publicly too ugh :(( i guess the private stuff makes me even sadder b/c people behave extra gross when they dont have to worry about as many ppl outside of their clique finding out and challenging that behavior

@ame142002 its not just in private spaces honestly, some people are very public about it and are even applauded for the misogynistic/racist ways they talk about either characters or people in the community
