@amebrookes 👍🏾- in the end, that is what I did. I've no idea what impact the preservative will have, but the cycle ride to get it and a few hours of mild activity in the sun as I clambered around the pergola did me the world of good.

A query: I need to weather proof a tanalised wood pergola, and have no clue which product I need. 'Wood protective treatment', 'wood preserver', 'sealing wax'? I just want to stop the wood rotting w/o killing the plants I'll surround it with or the insects they'll attract.

@ShivajiShivaLaw Personally I wouldn't bother. If you really want to go for a ' wood preservative'. Lots available

@ShivajiShivaLaw tanalising timber should mean that the wood is rot proof for a good number of years. In general, we say that the inside of the wood should be protected for about 60 years, and the outside for about 30 years. This is without any extra treatment, staining, or painting

@EcoRecording Any chance of naming wards. They are often peculiar shapes and I cannot work out which shapes correspond to Bournville, Selly Oak, Northfield

We also had a look at the no. of different species seen in each ward. Again this map will be influenced, not just by the presence of important sites and habitats, but also the amount of wildlife recording happening in each ward.

Evening! We’re back once again for the @stirchley_forum meeting. Agenda has a couple of fun things: Lee Hands from Tricas Construction is coming to talk about @StirchleyCD and there’s a mysterious ‘crime & antisocial behaviour’ item.
