I am happy to announce my first paper is on the arXiv today! We present a new model for nuclear star cluster formation within dwarf galaxies using high-resolution cosmological simulations, including observational properties and links to globular clusters: arxiv.org/abs/2405.19286

@PhysInHistory On reflection, I think this account is implausible. Does any other witness's account mention laughing and crying? A moment of silence, yes. But suddenly remembering a line from Hindu scripture that he hadn't thought of beforehand – no.

@avt_im If it's the Bayesian aspect that @predict_addict objects to, may I point out that Gaussian process emulation can be couched in purely classical terms as the best linear unbiased predictor for some second-order random variable. The assumption of a Gaussian prior is not needed.

As a rule, I don’t dismiss other people’s research areas. People know all kinds of things I don’t, including technical reasons why an unpopular method might one day achieve performance no other method can. Consequently, I ask others not to dismiss mine. Let’s talk about why.
