@faraz_r_khan Depending how many, I would just do it in one and the way you have it, and just saw the bottom on my 5x 😜

CNC folks: How would you set this up on your CNC and in how many steps? That's a precision bore (no interp) on top at an angle. My noob self would lay it down on its side and profile it out of the stock, turn the stock over to remove the base that was blocked by the vise and then use a angle piece at the bottom to make the hole. Lots of manual setup steps for a CNC! Is there a cooler way? Can I modify the piece for 1-setup?

@peteoxenham @pronounced_kyle Someone needs to use a corner Toolpath... 😬
English

@pronounced_kyle so they paid way too much, waited too long, and spent too much time looking for a vendor, for a part that ultimately is barely passable
hate to be a negative nancy but this is exactly why we dfm
English

guys... the part is real
I held it in my hands, honestly felt like meeting a celebrity

LA machinists - we need 12 of these ASAP. 12x quantity to start, 7075 AL, dimensions 4.5 *10.5 * 13.5. Dm me if interested in taking this on.

@photoncmndr I grew my Instagram for the shop organically to about 10k, and stopped posting a lot after that mainly due to NDA. Shop improvements, setups etc, new tooling is still good for engagement.
English

@photoncmndr IMTS will be the next one, but the Toolpath machining summit was def in a long time. The amount of knowledge there from everyone in a small place was unreal.
English

@photoncmndr @SafetySquintz Dylan is great! You'll have to listen to the one he did with me
English

@SafetySquintz Currently enjoying Within Tolerance tolerance. Have listened to a lot of making chips and by the numbers

@mikesulsenti Buying the jet allows his team to create more content that allows them to keep their job. Why is that so hard to understand?
English

No wonder the entire core LTT team quit

@photoncmndr Agree. I just spent $2k to have a used machine inspected because the buyer refused to send me service docs, and then ended up selling the machine after I had it inspected (it had issues that were not disclosed).
English

Buying used CNC machines online is literally the worst possible experience I have ever had. Id rather buy a car at a dealership. Buying a house is easier.
Non-consentual selling of my email will make ensure your company gets box of dog shit sent to you in the mail.
I need a box way construction 4" bar feeding 15" chucking capacity lathe with Fanuc controls.
Why is it so fucking hard to list a price???
English

@davidliuxyz Same thing with credit apps they want me to physically sign and then scan and email back. Um no, it's called DocuSign. Make it easy or not doing it.
English

@eevblog I bought a magnetic mount for my tablet that's listed to with with the model. It doesn't. Contacted seller they sent me another one ($90 mount).. still doesn't work. Told me to buy some magnetic rings to make it work... 🙈

@SutterlinDan @EricVallieres84 Yeah I'm in a somewhat similar situation with floor space. The dmu40 takes up more floor space than my 65mb. They make the monoblock the same way on robots that move it along the floor. It's pretty wild to see
Stawamus 24, British Columbia 🇨🇦 English

@amishsolanki @EricVallieres84 Yeah I have very very limited floor space so I am trying to keep it small.
The german factories are awesome! I went to see my milltap being built. They do it on a giant freaking conveyor belt.
English

@SutterlinDan @EricVallieres84 Thats easy for them. I was in Pfronten last month for their open house, but the DMP is made in the Seebach factory. The DMP is pricey tho, I quoted a DMU40 Pro and it wasn't that much more.
Stawamus 24, British Columbia 🇨🇦 English

@amishsolanki @EricVallieres84 Ill do it if you do it.
Im telling my salesman to take me to japan if i buy it.
English

@SutterlinDan @EricVallieres84 Ha, I'm looking at DMP70 as well, but looking at the erowa erc80 instead to feed it.
English

@EricVallieres84 In my region service is excellent. Plus we have had them so long I have a long list of people I can reach out to with any issues. Besides, they never break anyway.
I am trying to find jobs to justify this little animal:
