@masterkamote_ honestly, platforms shift all the time. i keep seeing creators deal with platform dependence. is the goal just to diversify, or move fully to a platform you own and control?

One of the reasons I stopped livestreaming on Facebook — aside from being demonetized (yes, I earn $0 from my posts there; it’s all pure passion in content creation) That the platform now prioritizes short-form content, especially Reels. If you’re a new creator planning to monetize your livestreams, honestly, I wouldn’t recommend spending too much time streaming here. There are better platforms that actually reward livestreamers — like Twitch, TikTok, YouTube, and Kicks. Instead of going live on Facebook, a better strategy right now is to mass upload Reels. Focus on one niche. If others are doing the same topic, give it your own flavor—something natural to you. That’s how your branding eventually forms. As for me, I might shift back to focusing on short-form and long-form content instead of daily livestreams. Going back to what used to work. GM ☕️

Truth Social posting criteria prohibit unlawful, sexually explicit, violent, defamatory, or spam content, enforced through AI and manual moderation. The platform requires a 1000-character limit per post ("Truth"), allows images/videos, and prohibits impersonation or private info sharing. While promoting free speech, it has strict, broad, and sometimes unpredictable moderation for "objectionable" content.   Public Citizen  +6 Key Posting Guidelines and Prohibitions: •Content Restrictions: ◦Sexual Content & Nudity: Strictly prohibited. ◦Violence & Threats: No content depicting, encouraging, or threatening violence or illegal activities. ◦Harassment & Hate Speech: Bullying and hateful content are banned. ◦Defamation: Prohibits libelous or slanderous content. ◦Impersonation: Misrepresenting oneself to impersonate others is forbidden. ◦Privacy: No sharing of private or personal information (doxxing). ◦Intellectual Property: Users cannot infringe on copyright or intellectual property. ◦Spam & Bots: Posting spam or using automated bots is forbidden. •Technical and User Limits: ◦Character Limit: "Truths" are limited to 1000 characters. ◦Media Capacity: Up to 4 images or 1 video can be attached to a post. ◦Content Moderation: The platform uses automated AI moderation to ensure a "family-friendly" community. •Other Important Policies: ◦Broad Discretion: Truth Social reserves the right to ban users for "any reason or for no reason," notes the First Amendment Law Review. ◦Shadow Banning: Research indicates the platform may engage in limiting visibility of certain content without notice. ◦Political Content: While favoring conservative discourse, moderation is applied to users, regardless of affiliation, who violate terms. ◦Reporting: Users can report content that violates these Community Guidelines.

@gemahripah01 so, how do you ensure that the "verified" status remains exclusive without becoming too elitist? keeps the high-quality content flowing, right?

The goal? Status. By proving you’re a real creator producing high-quality content in public campaigns, you earn "Verified" status. That’s your ticket to unlocking the high-paying, invite-only private campaigns on the platform.

Stop wasting time on platforms that reward bot traffic and empty engagement. If you want to know what the future of creator monetization looks like, you need to look at what @GimiApp is actually building gimi.co . 🧵👇

Couple of learnings I wrote down: • @qvac/sdk (the JS wrapper) isn't out yet, so I built directly on Fabric LLM. Wrote a thin adapter so the swap is 1 file when the SDK ships. • Small models + multi-turn chat history = pattern-matching hell. Had to collapse prior turns into a single-user-message summary to stop Qwen 3B from replaying actions. • 8GB M3 + 7B + 16k context = OOM. Adaptive context sizing per model saved the demo.

You might've seen @tether building @qvac: their local-first AI stack. I spent my weekend testing it, and built a mini Claude Code that runs 100% on my Mac, controlled from my iPhone. Open source, MIT. 🧵

@dazboy33 that sucks, losing control like that is a dealbreaker. i've seen a few folks move to owning their own platforms for that reason.

Passes takes 10%. OnlyFans takes 20%. YouTube takes 45%. Twitch takes 50% from non-partners. Passes is a creator monetization platform for musicians, athletes, educators, and creatives. Founded in 2022 by Lucy Guo, co-founder of Scale AI. Tiered memberships, paid messaging, livestreaming, pay-per-minute video calls, merch, CRM tools. Grammy-winning R&B artist Eric Bellinger launched on the platform last week. The 90% retention number isn't just a feature. It's a structural bet on the same thesis that's working for Kick against Twitch: when creator economics improve enough, audiences follow. Substack proved this against Medium. Kick is proving it against Twitch. The bet Passes is making is that the same pattern holds across music, sports, and education -- not just gaming and writing. The legacy creator platforms are optimized for platform retention. They want the creator dependent on their discovery algorithm, their distribution, their brand. The newer platforms are optimized for creator retention. They want the creator to build audience equity they can take elsewhere. That's a real philosophical difference. And when the economics are this asymmetric, philosophy tends to follow the money.

All-in-one fan platform. One app to stream and access everything artists offer. We leverage AI to unify everything fans and artists need and build on top of our fan-centric royalty model (already signed 12M artists, 80M songs) ensuring a subscriber's money goes only to the artists they actually stream: the ultimate revenue share model.
