‘हवा में उड़ते हुए’ सड़क परिवहन मंत्री का इंटरव्यू सवाल : आपने जो आम दिए हैं वे खट्टा है। जवाब : आप इमली की बात मत कीजिए। इथेनॉल के मुद्दे पर नितिन गडकरी के इस इंटरव्यू का एक पंक्ति में सा सार यही है। पूरा इंटरव्यू सुन लीजिए। अगर आप अपना माथा नहीं पकड़ लेंगे तो फिर कहिएगा! मेघा ने माइलेज के मुद्दे पर पहले सवाल से ही घेरा। अपनी गाड़ी की माइलेज का भी उदाहरण दिया। पर गडकर ने कहा, माइलेज मापने की मशीन घर में नहीं होती, डीलर से जांच कराइए! दिक़्क़त हो तो कंज़्यूमर कोर्ट जाइए! मतलब कुछ भी! माइलेज बताने का मीटर घर में नहीं होता पर हर गाड़ी में तो होता ही है। इसको नकार दिया गडकरी ने! कार कंपनियों के लिए ये बहुत ही आपत्तिजनक बात है कि दशकों से हर कार के साथ बनाए गए उनके माइल-मीटर पर गडकरी ने सवाल उठा दिया है! पर शायद कार कंपनियाँ गडकरी की इस बात के ख़िलाफ़ फिर भी ना बोलें! संभवतः कोई डर या दबाव होगा! नहीं तो कार कंपनियों को सामने आकर स्वीकारने चाहिए कि कार में फिट माइल-मीटर धोखा है! बात इतनी भर नहीं है। क़रीब आधे घंटे के इस इंटरव्यू में गडकरी ने किसी सवाल का सीधा जवाब नहीं दिया है। गोल गोल घुमाया है। ज़्यादा कुरेदने पर अपरोक्ष रूप से FIR और परोक्ष रूप से Defamation केस तक की धमकी दी है! सवाल पूछा जा रहा है E10 वाली गाड़ियों में E20 डाले जाने की और जवाब दे रहे हैं 100% इथेनॉल या पेट्रोल से चलने वाले फ़्लेक्सी फ़्यूल इंजन की! इथेनॉल के बाद भी पेट्रोल सस्ता क्यों नहीं हुआ? जवाब : आयं बाएँ साएं जब एक सवाल का जवाब न सूझा तो पेट्रोलियम मिनिस्ट्री पर बात टाल दी! इस पूरे इंटरव्यू पर एर रिसर्च पेपर लिखा जा सकता है। रिसर्च पेपर इस बात पर कि जब तर्क और तथ्य न पेश कर पा रहे हों तो अपनी ज़िद को सही साबित करने के लिए इंटरव्यू नहीं देना चाहिए। बहुत लंबा लिखा जा सकता है। लेकिन निचोड़ ये कि अगर प्रधानमंत्री @narendramodi अपने मंत्री @nitin_gadkari की इन तमाम बातों को सुनने के बाद भी इन पर समुचित ‘नीतिगत’ कार्रवाई नहीं करते हैं तो फिर समझ लीजिए कि ईश्वर नहीं, अब इथेनॉल ही सबका मालिक है 🙏 और अंत में @MeghaSPrasad के लिए एक शब्द Superb 🙌 Video Credit @ABPNews YT

Journalist : People are complaining that using E20 Petrol has reduced their vehicles' mileage. Nitin Gadkari : It's a technical issue. In city traffic, frequent gear changes don't reduce mileage. But on highways, when the vehicle runs at higher speeds, it may delivered slightly lower mileage. Logic.. 🥵🥵

Arvind Kejriwal wants petrol to be sold at ₹82 per litre irrespective of international crude prices. If he truly believes that, he should start with Punjab, where his own party is in power. The price build-up exposes his hypocrisy. The base price charged to dealers is ₹81.77 per litre, and the dealer commission is ₹4.48. The only major component entirely under the Punjab government’s control is VAT, which currently adds ₹18.57 per litre. If Kejriwal waives Punjab’s VAT, petrol would cost around ₹86.25 per litre without touching the dealer margin. He doesn’t even need the Centre’s approval. So why hasn’t he done it? Instead of lecturing others, Kejriwal should first implement his own formula in Punjab. Until then, his ₹82-per-litre promise is nothing more than political theatre.

In 2014, we enthusiastically voted for @narendramodi & @BJP4India , and we did so again in 2019 and 2024. We diligently paid our taxes, stood in line for DeMo, and remained indoors during the lockdown. Despite our unwavering commitment to being law-abiding citizens, we were subjected to a severe punishment for paying 40% GST and 15% Road tax on our vehicles. This situation highlights the unfortunate reality faced by ordinary citizens. Sorry to say this @HardeepSPuri and @nitin_gadkari you have wronged the population of this country!

So don't listen to these myths. They have no technical background. Government is not foolish. Government is very intelligent. They have done four years' study. Then they executed it. Niti Aayog has said there might be a loss of 2 to 4 % mileage. But I feel you are also living in Delhi. How much mileage you lose on red lights? How much mileage you lose in the traffic jam? Why don't you count those mileage? Why we are counting only 2 to 4 percent drop?...Today the government is giving RON 95 octane at the same price. See the difference. Today petrol is much better..."

#WATCH | Delhi: On Ethanol, Dr Chandra Kumar Jain, President of the Grain Ethanol Manufacturers Association, says, "Phase one is developed. There's always a scope of improvement. So we are on the phase of improving the working, improving the efficiency, reducing the cost. It is developed fully, is able to supply whatever our country need. But tomorrow you need efficiency like what foreign countries, Brazil, US has those efficiencies, we are lagging in those efficiencies. So we need to improve that. So we want to go up to that place." "By developing, I means plants have been set up. I won't say they are inefficient, but it needs more development to increase the efficiency. So that is phase two. Phase one is plant set up, they are producing. But it needs some more improvements in their processing. So we are doing that. Not that it is underdeveloped. The capacity is already set up at 1800 crore litres. Whereas the consumption right now is going 1200 crore litres. Capacity is more. E85 are the separate vehicles. They are flexi-fuel vehicles where you can use E20 also, E85 also or you can use the blend of that. So development of those vehicles will take some time, their dispensing will also take some time. Then what is going to happen in future is every petrol pump will have two nozzles. As I'm quoting the Brazilian model, which is more successful in ethanol. So all petrol pumps have two nozzles, one is the base petrol. Base petrol in some countries is 10%, somewhere is 20%, and in Brazil it is now going to be 30%. So if you want zero, you won't get. So E20 is a base now. And another nozzle will be E85, which will be cost effective..."
