𝐌𝐮𝐬𝐚𝐧𝐳𝐞 𝐖𝐚𝐬𝐭𝐞 𝐓𝐫𝐞𝐚𝐭𝐦𝐞𝐧𝐭 𝐏𝐥𝐚𝐧𝐭 𝐒𝐞𝐭 𝐭𝐨 𝐓𝐫𝐚𝐧𝐬𝐟𝐨𝐫𝐦 𝐒𝐚𝐧𝐢𝐭𝐚𝐭𝐢𝐨𝐧 𝐚𝐧𝐝 𝐀𝐠𝐫𝐢𝐜𝐮𝐥𝐭𝐮𝐫𝐞: A modern waste treatment plant under construction in @MusanzeDistrict is expected to play a major role in improving environmental sanitation, promoting public health, and supporting sustainable agriculture in the region. Built on 6.8 hectares in Gacaca Sector, the project commenced in 2024 and is scheduled for completion in August 2026 at a cost of Frw 4.5 billion. According to WASAC Group, the facility will be capable of processing 33 tonnes of biodegradable and non-biodegradable waste daily, along with 7,000 cubic meters of fecal sludge. Beyond addressing waste management and hygiene challenges, the plant is also expected to produce organic fertilizer that will enhance agricultural productivity and support local farmers. The project is anticipated to contribute significantly to cleaner communities, environmental protection, job creation, and sustainable urban development while strengthening efforts to maintain the growing tourism and investment appeal of Musanze District. #RwandaWorks

Thank you to my sister President @SuluhuSamia for the warm welcome to Tanzania and for the productive discussions. Rwanda and Tanzania are not only neighbors but brotherly countries bound by history and a shared goal of prosperity for our people. Rwanda remains committed to building on this strong foundation by deepening our bilateral cooperation across trade, investment, infrastructure, logistics, energy, and regional integration. I look forward to continuing our collaboration to achieve tangible results for our citizens and advance the East African Community.

Today, #WASACGroup and #REG honored the 174 former ELECTROGAZ employees identified so far, who were killed in the 1994 Genocide Against the Tutsi. Officiating the event, Amb. @Jadouwihanganye, Minister of State @RwandaInfra, urged staff to learn from history, reject all forms of divisionism, embrace unity and stand firm against genocide ideology in the shared commitment to “Never Again.” #Kwibuka32 #RememberUniteRenew

“After the genocide, Rwandans chose to rebuild our country, together. With that, came a promise to never let the politics of genocide take root ever again. I tell you, genocide cannot happen here again, it won’t happen. Even with those noises you hear in the region, of people gathering from Europe, from wherever, meeting in Kinshasa, and bringing the son of Habyarimana, relatives, and others from wherever, all that is just noise. It cannot amount to anything that will happen here of that kind again. I know every Rwandan, young or old is as determined and is saying so, like I am saying now to you.” President Kagame | #Kwibuka32
