If you’re in the UK or abroad as a student, don’t work more than 20 hours except if your visa states otherwise, even if they promise it will be cash jobs. It was indeed cash jobs. They didn’t use their NI numbers; however, they were sending the money to their bank accounts. Someone wrote to the UKVI Home Office to investigate them because there were about 12 of them working for the company. Eventually, the Home Office sent emails to each of them. The first person investigated was made a scapegoat, and his visa was cancelled for breaching UK student visa rules. He’s back in Nigeria now. Others who were investigated were pardoned because they later answered the questions well. One of them said he didn’t know it was against his visa conditions and that he hoped to continue with a PhD in the UK. The interviewer then said, “I will pardon you because I don’t want to be a hindrance to your success in this country.”
