This is my first time joining #earlylang chat! I'm Alyssa and I teach French to grades preschool - 2nd grade. I love connecting language with art and gym/movement.

A3: I think time can be a huge barrier to collaborative lessons. When trying to involve more teachers and subject areas, you have different schedules and curricula that can present conflict. Planning experiences well in advance can help! #earlylang

@srtacoulehan Yes! In regards to the first part of your answer, I feel like collaboration can become a form of advocacy for your program. Collaborative units are always so much fun, too!

A2: I think it's so important for us to show language is not a separate subject - it's actually a key to all other subjects! We use language as a tool to connect to other people who speak our language(s) #earlylang

SO inspired by @ShakeUpLearning's Stranger Google session at #macul19. So many great tools I can't wait to try out!

@krismarley12 @mama_librarian I use the school WiFi. There were some problems at first, but after working with the tech department we got it sorted out! They do recommend using a separate router, but we can't for security reasons.
