@amoreperfect

I don’t know the answer but the crowd does. I have biases. Comment if a question is unfair. Non-sectarian. If I claim 100% certainty, I am probably wrong.

@Emmyfromcbus What if he had called Obama and just talked about Iran with him? Is it possible Obama may have had even one good idea about what Iran would do when we attacked them?

@TheCCShowcast The predictions were made before the President changed the goals, just like with tariffs.

The JCPOA was a flawed and deeply imperfect agreement. That’s why I was sympathetic to President Trump’s desire to do more to contain Iran’s aggression, prevent its nuclear and long-range missile programs, rein in its terror proxies, and stand with the Iranian people. Tragically, he appears to have failed on all four fronts. The MOU is substantially weaker than even the flawed deal negotiated by President Obama, while leaving Iran relatively stronger and America relatively weaker than at the start of the conflict. All Americans should be rooting for President Trump and the Iranian people and against the butchers of the Iranian regime.

But when the MOU text leaked, a clause explicitly obligated the U.S. and regional partners to ensure a financing plan of "at least $300 billion" for Iran's development. The administration later clarified it would rely on private/Gulf funds, but the clause was there.

Did Trump deny clauses in the Iran MOU that actually existed? Yes. During the rollout, reports surfaced that the 14-point preliminary deal included a massive financial package for Iran. Trump flatly denied it at the G7 summit, telling the press: "We do not have a fund."

The $300 billion number did didn't come out of nowhere. That's how much damage we did to Iran's infrastructure. So, if they act perfectly, over the course of decades, then they MIGHT have an opportunity to recoup that money back from other gulf coast nations. $300B - $300B = $0 If somebody burned your house down and said you have the opportunity to earn back the value of your house over the next 20 years as long as you do everything perfectly would you think that was a good deal for you? And not a penny of this money is going to come from the United States of America. People are acting like we're giving out a briefcase of $300 billion and it's just straight up lies.

@Pro__Trading The President today: "If we keep bombing… You're talking about $500, $600, $700 million a day... We run out of reserves in about four weeks… There are reserves all over the world, and we would really run out, and there'll be a time when you wouldn't be able to get it."

@FNC_Ladies_Rule @johnddavidson @greggutfeld Keep me in mind that the President’s comments about the Civil War meant he was unaware of “Bleeding Kansas” and the conflict over territories coming in as slave or free states.

@FNC_Ladies_Rule @johnddavidson @greggutfeld Remember what Trump said about Limcoln and the Civil War? Something like - Lincoln did a good job but I would have negotiated it. Kind of makes me wonder about the Sweet Deal the Confedracy would have got.

All the Iranian regime had to do to “win” was survive. It survived. Spin it any way you like, we lost the war. And tbf, we probably lost the war before we started it, because the administration was never prepared to do what would have been necessary to win it for real.

@Osint613 Who gives a rats ass what Ben Shapiro thinks? The outcome is no nuclear weapons and regime change. The new regime seems reasonable which means possible peace in the Middle East.

@Osint613 Ben Shapiro calls Vance’s Iran MOU a disaster because it’s not endless neocon war. Trump bombed the regime, bought time, stabilized gas prices, and kept American blood off the table.Vance served Trump well. Patriots see the long game.

Here’s my take at the moment: This whole thing is smoke and mirrors, the “deal” will fall apart, and we’ll end up striking Iran again pretty soon.
