The first version of Stormwind had no districts or canals. The framerate was below terrible. Then I thought of Venice. I grabbed a map of the city and slapped it down on the table the next morning. @saulxyz @Zirene @wowclassicdevs IDK bro, feel like the general consensus is pacing is quite good rn / even slightly too fast- Ppl are hitting 90-110ks right now after all (which I dont mind b/c early mop was always a bit fast/chaotic) but any less resilience & it may become a bit ridiculous. 1/2

Regarding MoP PvP pacing: The game felt way more fun when resilience was low and dampening started earlier and at 10% I understand this benefits certain classes and matchups more than others- but I don't think many people want a S1 full of 15 min double caster mirrors. 1/2

How much of MoP's old Arena duration should be preserved? MoP's middle and ending seasons were known for being slower and tactical - not bursty or that punishing. Dampening had to be put to 5 minutes on the tournament realm when it was 10 on live because games regularly went to 10 minutes+. And even with the 5 minute dampening starts like at Blizzcon, there were regularly 12 minute plus games. Just trying to get an understanding of if you want Classic MoP Arenas to spiritually be close to OG MoP Arenas (obviously won't be exactly due to changes which is why I said spiritually) or if you want these to instead be Arenas that just so happen to be in MoP.
