Allowing poorly trained agents to roam our streets, kick down doors without warrants, and shoot people dead in the street is state-sanctioned violence—not immigration policy. The Trump admin must release all information related to these shootings, and we need independent investigations into each. These shootings are not inevitable. They are a policy choice being made by Donald Trump and Senate Republicans.

In the past week, ICE has killed two people: Lorenzo Salgado Araujo and Joan Sebastian Guerrero. Parents want to be able to work hard, put food on the table for their kids, keep a roof over their heads, and maybe be able to take their family on a vacation or two. But with the higher costs at the grocery store, the gas pump, and on utility bills, paychecks just aren’t going far enough. People are tired of doing the right things and still coming up short because politicians in Washington can’t get out of the way. It’s time to end the Trump tax.

ICE is still gunning people down in our streets. It is a moral tragedy that this has become commonplace in our country. Do not let anyone convince you that it has to be this way. This is a choice.
