As a doctor, learn to put your wellbeing first. If you don’t show up, the work will still continue. So if you’re not feeling well to work, call in and take your time off irrespective of the reply of whoever answers your call. Only the living can practice medicine.

This journey has been years in the making filled with research, teaching, long nights, collaborations across borders, community work, and an unwavering belief in better health systems for all.
