A woman caught a mountain lion swimming in her pool, but the stray cat and kittens beside it made the whole thing even weirder.
During summer a woman in California was getting ready to head outside when she heard splashing coming from the backyard. Thinking something had fallen into the pool, she looked out the window and froze. A mountain lion was in the water. But that was not even the strangest part.
Right there beside the pool was a stray cat with her kittens, calm enough that it almost looked like they had all agreed to share the space. Instead of attacking them, the mountain lion just kept cooling off, turning the whole moment into something that felt impossible to explain.
Wildlife officials were called and later managed to drive the mountain lion away safely, while the stray cat and kittens were also helped off the property.
What really got people talking was the fact that, out of everything that could have happened, the mountain lion chose to share the moment instead of turning aggressive.

NEW: 50 empty Waymos invade Atlanta neighborhoods and circle their cul-de-sacs for hours early in the mornings.
Residents say they are getting waymo traffic than usual and have tried combating the cars with a neon green sign, which only made the problem worse.
The Waymos didn't know what to do and clogged the entire street.
"We have small animals and pets, got kids getting on the bus in the morning, and it just doesn’t feel safe to have that traffic," one resident said.
The residents say Waymo has not given them a response yet.

NEW: Michigan man starts bawling as he is sentenced to at least 30 years in prison for murdering his best friend on his wedding night.
24-year-old Michigan James Shirah killed his friend and groomsman Terry Taylor, 29, by deliberately hitting him with an SUV.
Shirah and his wife, Savannah Collier, had exchanged vows just hours before the incident.
Shirah had reportedly been drinking during the day and later got into an argument with Taylor. He then left and returned with the car, hitting Taylor.
Collier pleaded guilty to one count of accessory after the fact.
Shirah was sentenced to at least 30 years in prison for second-degree murder and has to pay $334 in fines.

This is quite clearly the wrong thing for him to do, his life nor the life of another person was in immediate danger of death or great bodily harm. That being said people are very much on edge and do not want to be messed with, don't put cameras in their face and mess with them for clicks and views. A side note to the camera person; it is a terrible idea to antagonize a person who has already shown they are unstable enough draw a gun on you in public, if this had ended tragically it would've been partially due to your provocation instead of deescalation.
