The closer you draw to Jesus (read your Bible) the more the Holy Spirit will reveal to you. Try NOT to get distracted by people… God is much more interested in resolving issues in your heart. Allow the process to learn and grow, no need to compare journeys.
Just pray for those that have lost their way. God knows their hearts too! This is an exciting time to be alive—and He is not surprised by any of this!

I could use some help...
I came back to church after years away and I'm still figuring a lot of it out... but what is going on with the "Christian Leftists"????
These are people who know Scripture better than I do... but the SAME PEOPLE turn around and tell me a kid in elementary school can know 100% that they were born in the wrong body.
That puberty blockers are healthcare.
That get flustered and extremely angry at any reasonable question I throw at them about it.
That actually to question any of it is a form of sin in someway?
These people will literally say the church is too White.
As if whiteness itself is a big problem or a sin and that we need to repent of being white, and fix it in a room full of people who showed up to worship Jesus.
Can someone explain this to me?
How on earth does this make any sense from someone who is supposed to be a Christian?
How did these Christians get to this place?
How did a faith built on the goodness of creation, the dignity of the body, the truth that every person bears the image of God regardless of skin, end up getting SO sucked into these Leftist slogans?
What I notice is that every position the Christian left holds happens to track PERFECTLY aligns with the cultural arguments of the Leftist political movement.
Every single one.
Trans kids.
Race.
Sexuality.
Borders.
Guns.
Climate.
And they'll use the Bible, in genuinely bizarre fashion and slogans to uphold these political beliefs.
Like "love thy neighbor" for example, to say that illegal immigrants didn't do anything wrong.
"The least of these" somehow means trans kids or something?
"Turn the other cheek" somehow means that criminals should never be held accountable for crimes.
It seems, and I could be wrong, that a LOT of Christians are using politics to shape their faith.
Not the other way around
Maybe I'm missing something. I'm willing to be wrong.
But from where I'm sitting it looks FAR LESS like Christians are wrestling with hard questions and more like a version of Christianity that has agreed to push forward every argument the culture wants it to...
What's going on with the Christian church??????

@PetersenForNE @POTUS I really hope for sanity’s sake you are NOT a rino / Trojan horse / just another ‘R’ for NE. We need representation in NE.
English

I agree with @POTUS Trump. Mail-in ballots make our elections vulnerable to tampering. We can do better.
Vote in-person on Tuesday, May 12!

@UNLincoln @Runza Uh, no. Just be use you can, doesn’t mean you should.

Only in Nebraska: Runza-flavored ice cream. 🍦
This hometown creation blends sweet cream with the signature spices of the classic sandwich — thanks to work by April Johnson's team at the university's Food Processing Center and @Runza.
Would you try it? 👀

@BEisenhart NE has the WORST property tax policy. It’s the only thing CA is getting right ATM. @TeamPillen

This is the mortgage on a $500k home in a newer suburban area in Omaha with $100k down, including taxes and insurance. It is about as low as you will find in the Elkhorn/Gretna/Bennington, NE area. If you are in the camp that your mortgage shouldn’t be more than 20% of your net take-home pay, your household income needs to be at least $19k a month. Not a lot of people hit that, so are we talking about 30-40% of your net take-home pay? Throw in childcare, and Houston, we have a problem. Not sustainable.

English

@BEisenhart @libertarian_ass Honestly I wish my family in NE had told me before I moved here. ATM property tax is the ONE thing that CA has gotten right.
English

@libertarian_ass Brutal. 2.4% in some neighborhoods. Nebraska is famous for property tax.

At my annual Dr appt yesterday, they take my weight and height behind the waiting room door adjacent to the receptionist desk. The tv in the waiting room, volume low, is talking bout the WHCD mayhem. I hear a receptionist share her distaste for the POTUS and his entire cabinet. She didn’t hold back. I don’t care to know about her politics and didn’t feel comfortable sharing my thoughts—American “health care” isn’t my safe space… but certainly she didn’t care who heard her thoughts. It’s just gross and makes me want to look for a different Dr office. One where they show NatGeo on the waiting room tv, or don’t have one at all!!

My family made that a stop each time we traveled from SoCal up north. It was such a treat to get out of the car, eat well and visit the gift shop.
For decades it was packed, as described… travelers, busses, etc. my fond memories span 80’s-90’s. When each server seemed glad to be there. It was a warm and welcome stop for us!
English

A Faded Memory.
Andersen's Pea Soup Restaurant opened in 1924, founded by Danish immigrant Anton Andersen and his wife Juliette.
Originally a small roadside stand along what became U.S. Route 101, it grew into one of the most well-known stops in California.
During the Great Depression, the business struggled until Juliette added split pea soup to the menu. It was simple, affordable, and filling and it ended up saving the restaurant.
From there, it became a destination.
By the 1930s-1960s, this was a major stop for travelers between Los Angeles and San Francisco.
Tour buses lined the parking lot, families planned trips around it, and the restaurant served hundreds of people daily.
The location became known for more than just food. Danish-style architecture, a windmill, gift shops, and the mascots Hap-Pea and Pea-Wee made it a full roadside attraction.
Billboards across California counted down the miles until you arrived.
For decades, it remained busy and became part of California road trip culture.
But as highways improved and travel became faster, fewer people stopped. Over time, the crowds declined.
Today, the building still stands, but the activity that once filled it is gone.
What was once a packed destination is now a decaying reminder of our great past.

@TeamPillen Right. All state of NE substitute teachers are REQUIRED to take a DEI class, now they call it HR. Take a peak at that curriculum. They found a work around!
English

This nonsense is completely irrelevant and destructive to the University of Nebraska’s teaching mission, and out of touch with the values of the state it serves. University leaders must immediately root out this and all other similar programming across the entire system.
If the University cannot police its own ranks and rid itself of the woke disease that has degraded so many “elite” higher education institutions, it risks investigations, cuts to its funding, and, most importantly, the loss of the confidence of the people it serves.

Dismissing @PetersenForNE as ‘President of the TinFoil Hat Club’ for quoting your own Secretary of State’s admissions about unverified, uninspected, outdated voting machines with foreign parts and zero transparency? 😂🤦🏻♂️😂 You are a Drunk
That’s not a flex from a retired Brig Gen, that’s weak-ass RINO deflection on steroids. Scott dropped a full thread of receipts while you swung with a lazy one-liner like a D.C. swamp creature scared of sunlight.
Real veterans stood post while politicians like you carried water for the ‘trust the system, bro’ cult. Nebraska’s not buying your copium anymore.
Either grow a spine(because you have no Ballz) and address the actual problems, or keep proving why America First voters are done with establishment ghey grifters like you, Haitian Bacon
