Places like Florianópolis and Curitiba are safer than most major American cities You can raise a family in southern Brazil with zero safety concerns But nobody wants to talk about that because it doesn't fit the narrative Brazil is massive — over 200 million people spread across a country the size of the continental USA Treating it like one place is insane The difference between São Paulo and Manaus is bigger than the difference between NYC and rural Mississippi
