Just learned that Paul Ehrlich, the "prophet of doom", passed away. Had the honor of interviewing him (for @WarpInstitute) a couple years ago. Despite differing world views, we found a rapport. He must have been the world's most cheerful pessimist. R.I.P. tinyurl.com/36p6s635

I know there's a lot else going on in the news today, but given that those major developments likely won't slow down anytime soon, I still wanted to share my initial thoughts on the President's intent to release all documentation pertaining to UAP and extraterrestrial life: First, there is already more than enough evidence in the public record for a reasonable person to suspect that non-human technology is operating in Earth's skies and oceans and has been since at least WWII. What is lacking is an irrefutable smoking gun linking these craft to non-human intelligence. Second, disclosure is not going to be the result of someone combing through stacks of UAP documents released to the National Archives as presently required by law. No agency head is going to release a bombshell of this magnitude in a data dump at the National Archives. They are going to take any information confirming non-human intelligence straight to the White House for guidance. Even in the absence of confirmation, a build-up of credible UAP photos and videos may ignite a national conversation that eventually requires the President to engage in more direct and extensive public discussions regarding UAP. The President's initiative will benefit science, historians, the military, and the public. The more data that is released the better, recognizing however that some "UAP" information is actually blue force technology that does need to be protected. Yet, the wholesale release of UAP files dating as far back as WWII will inevitably help to advance the cause of disclosure, which involves nothing less than revealing some of the most sensitive information in the hands of the US government. I expect a rather long process, one that may feel like water torture to some UAP researchers. Hopefully, Congress will recognize the enormous stakes involved and work to ensure full compliance with the President's initiative. This is clearly a historic development, one that has the potential to open many minds. The Disclosure Foundation (@disclosurefound) is committed to making the most of this opportunity.

Filmmaker David Lynch's Diagram for Transcendental Consciousness is one of the greatest, easiest to understand explanations for how our reality is made of MIND first, MATTER second. I promise this is genuinely worth your time. It's fantastic.

Former CDC Director Dr. Robert Redfield: "The vaccine should have never been mandated. It was never meant to prevent transmission… It probably was a misnomer to call it a vaccine. It's really more like a medicine. It doesn't stop infection."

Some encouraging news: two independent data analysts who were given access to the transient sample have replicated our core results regarding associations between transients and nuclear testing (Scientific Reports paper) as well as the deficit of transients in the Earth's shadow (PASP paper). One (Brian Doherty) has documented his analysis in a short note, while the other who replicated the nuclear-transient association has chosen not to be named at this stage. These replications are preliminary and non-peer-reviewed, but encouraging. We look forward to additional independent replication efforts, including peer-reviewed ones.

Birth rates are plummeting at breakneck speed. China had fewer births in 2025 than in 1776. "This is the defining issue of our time"
Jesús Fernández-Villaverde@JesusFerna7026

I have been posting repeatedly on X about the extraordinarily fast collapse of births across the planet: in rich and poor countries, in fast-growing and slow-growing economies, in religious and secular societies, under right-wing and left-wing governments, with high taxes and with low taxes. The pattern is universal. I knew this trend would continue. Still, the figures released this morning left me genuinely speechless. China’s government announced on Monday (see screenshot below) that births in 2025 fell to 7.92 million, a staggering 1.62 million fewer than in 2024, and that the total fertility rate has dropped to 0.93. Few economists have been more forceful than yours truly in arguing that births are collapsing, yet even I was surprised by these numbers. I was forecasting around 8.5 million births, not 7.92. To put this into perspective: if China could somehow sustain 7.92 million births per year from now on, its population would eventually stabilize at roughly 625 million, far below today’s 1.405 billion. In reality, as smaller cohorts reach childbearing age, births will fall well below 7.92 million. Hence, 625 million is a very generous upper bound, even under implausibly optimistic assumptions about life expectancy. Put differently, there were fewer births in China in 2025 than in 1776, the year the United States declared independence. I am still trying to process these numbers. This is the defining issue of our time.
