Turns out, Linux can't put this computer to sleep. Apparently, there's a bug and no solution. I've spent two days trying to disable sleep, but any time I lock the computer, it dies. This is exactly the problem with Linux: most hardware makers just don't care.

I bought a GEEKOM A9 Max AI. • AMD Ryzen AI 9 HX 370 • 32GB RAM • 1TB SSD I installed @OmarchyLinux on it. Beautiful mini computer. Small, quiet, and powerful. There are many different, good options out there. You can get a really good setup for under $1,000. RAM and SSD prices are still a bit crazy, though, so make sure whatever you buy is upgradeable.

@andre__gallo What model do you have? I've never had any problems with fan noise on the F13. Except when maxxing out the cores for a sustained test run. Is this the HX370 AMD? Or something different?

I was looking forward to getting my hands on a new @FrameworkPuter 13 Laptop. Finally did it (thanks to @dhh). I’ve been thoroughly impressed, from ordering to delivery. It all went smooth. The experience of putting it all together was magical. Installing @OmarchyLinux took 1/3

on all the time! Even on balanced mode (it’s a marginally better and less noisy). I guess I’m stuck with this now. Really digging the whole experience though, hope can solve the fan issue!

about 3 min. Then a few problems started to happen. Cannot get it to reliably suspend or hibernate. When I open the lid next morning it’s always a fresh start. And the fans! OMG if I knew about this I’d have considered an alternative. This thing runs really hot and fans are 2/3

Can anyone recommend a dead simple, easy to use notetaking app based on markdown files? Obsidian is far too complicated for me. I'm looking for Apple Notes, but with markdown storage

Tried pre-alpha-v1 of AdonisJS Flow and guys it's so fucking good. One shot planned the implementation, exactly how I will do it.

@sama I’m sorry you’ve experienced violence so close to you and your family. I condemn violence. However, I think you are such a hypocrite, fake human being which is driven by very obscure principles. I can never guess what you truly want to say behind so many layers.

Login with "" is super easy, until you have to account for every edge case and deliver a great UX. Just wrapped up a Kit component for Plus that takes care of: ✅ Cross-provider email conflicts ✅ Preventing account takeovers ✅ Connecting and logging in using multiple identity providers

searchcode.com processed 370GB of code this month (also its first month). Reduced that 370GB to 205MB. A ~1,800x reduction, about 92 billion tokens saved. Turns out its being used by major AI labs, coding assistants, firmware engineers and researchers.

As a hardcore macOS fan, I was quite skeptical about @OmarchyLinux. A few months in, though, there’s no way you could get me back onto a Mac. The environment is simply superior: more ergonomic, faster, WAY more beautiful and pleasant to the eye, zero bloat. I still have an M4 that I haven’t replaced yet, mainly because it’s quite new. I usually work from home with a Framework desktop, and I can’t see myself getting anything substantial done on the MBP anymore. The downgrade would be quite a burden.

@AmanVirk1 “You’re absolutely right” 😂 - I’ve noticed the same. So did my team. This week was very different to all of us I think. One thing I did noticed is that recent versions of Claude code changed my default model from Opus to Sonnet without warning me.

Frontier models are literally struggling. I have been enjoying Claude Code a lot, but lately, the quality is degrading. It invented a new variable out of nowhere, which isn't used anywhere, not in the plan and not even part of AdonisJS conventions.

🧵 I wrote almost 19,000 lines of code for a Virtual File System in @nodejs core using Claude Code. It started over Christmas and has been refined over almost three months of review. A collaborator challenged whether AI-assisted contributions can meet the DCO requirements. Here's what happened, and why it matters for all of open source.

Are we (JS devs) using Admin panels? Laravel has Nova. Rails has Active Admin. Django ships one out of the box. What do we have 👀 Genuinely curious what everyone is using, or if this just isn't a thing in the JS world.
