Our team is on site at #Bishopton working to remove trees and assess damage to overhead wires before repairing. Trapped trains are being cleared and line is being made safe before work can begin in earnest. Disruption is likely to be ongoing for the rest of the day.

Following further heavy rain this morning there has been another landslip on the West Highland Line – this time near #Arrochar. Approx. 20 tonnes of rock and trees have fallen around 100ft onto the railway. We’ll need to inspect embankment before assessing timescales to repair.

Due to part of the railway being ‘washed away’ by severe flooding in the area, the line between #Crianlarich & #Tyndrum is closed. Our teams are on site assessing damage and will update in due course. Please contact your train operator for service updates. @ScotRail @CalSleeper
