Had a fruitful call with @ibrahimyumakli on advancing our actions to avoid live animal consignments stranded at our borders. Turkish pre-approval of EU certificates, duly completed by Member State officials, will help prevent tragedies like those at the 🇪🇺-🇹🇷 border last year.

Looking forward to getting down to joint work to reach tangible results very shortly.

Today, @EU_Commission published its new Vision for Agriculture and Food. It commits to: ✅ Revising #animalwelfare legislation and phasing out cages ✅ Holding imported products to the same welfare standards ✅ A welfare labeling scheme to help consumers make ethical choices
