I've apologized for my disability so often it's now a habit, a verbal tic in the form of a stutter to repeatedly say "Excuse me" and "I'm sorry" while I'm trying to get out of a stutter block. We must traverse the disability while being responsible for the comfort of others.

I get Jemele's position and know it should be seriously considered. But we must be straightforward. This IS asking him to apologize for his disability. There's no getting around that. It's the reason people with speaking disorders (I speak with a stutter) shy away from public.

He should not apologize for his disability. But having this disability does not mean permanent immunity from the harm caused by what you say to people. The tone of his apology is off-putting and reads like: I left, what else do you want me to do? Apologizing to MJB and Delroy Lindo is just the right thing to do. He can do that and educate people as well.

See so many arguments that oppose abolishing the NBA draft that are rooted in “there’s only gonna like 5 competitive teams” and buddy there has always only been like only 5 franchises that are serious about spending money and winning. The other 25 owners just want to turn a profit, be a billionaire in the cool kid club with other team owners, or think they can game the system by trying to win in the window when their core is on rookie deals/rookie extensions. It has always been that way.
