@AlboMP Thank you for leading us Sir.
Stay strong!
Best wishes to you and yours.

@Peter_Fitz Us farmers at e on the pointy end of climate change; the Nationals unwillingness to engage defies logic. We are not going to win this until those of us on the land are leading the charge.
English

This is what I don't get, re Nats.
For so many farming families across our brown & pleasant land, hosting wind-farms & solar farms will provide a sure revenue source, lifting entire communities.
But, by & large, the Nats are AGAINST this?
At what point will rural Oz turn on 'em?

@Peter_Fitz Liberals are so panicked by POH, they're moving further to the right... Now Beetrooter, Elvis and Sooty want to Abandon the Net Zero Target... So much for being Aspirational... Farmers supplementing Income with Green Energy must be thinking, WTF...
English

@Peter_Fitz We are getting our heads around use protocols. To date; marvellous.
English

@ralphbuttigieg @KosSamaras You have it one. The ‘natural’ commonality between farmers who depend on a healthy environment and the Greens has been obscured.
English

@KosSamaras That's not a problem for the NSW coalition. It need not be for the federal coalition either. The federal nats seem to be more interested in supporting extractive industries than farmers.
English

Coalition’s existential crisis. It’s actually not about how they personally get along.
The Liberals cannot win without a Coalition with the Nationals.
But they cannot win whilst in a Coalition with the Nationals.
The core problem for the Coalition is that the Nationals, quite rightly, represent a specific group of Australians in particular regional areas. But the policies and priorities they champion simply don’t align with the values and concerns of the majority of Australians living in our major cities.
Over time, the Nationals’ influence within the Liberal Party has contributed to a growing disconnect and in many urban electorates, it’s now led to a near-complete divorce between city voters and the Liberal brand.

English

@thejuicemedia Creative and entertaining and strategically useful. Well done.

Every election, we've made a video to help Aussie voters understand how our (fkn awesome) preferential voting system works. This one's for the 2025 election. Good luck Australia! 💛#auspol
(In case it needs to be said: this is satire, NOT official electoral advice!)

@_foqyeah @simonahac Because we are a democratic nation!!
English

@simonahac Then why are we paying for TAFE we don’t attend, doctors we don’t go to, public transport we don’t catch, schools our kids don’t go to, sports teams we don’t care about, wars we don’t want etc. Sounding very Libertarian when it doesn’t suit your pocket, Simon.
English

claiming that EV drivers should be taxed for the petrol they don’t burn is like suggesting non-smokers should be taxed for the cigarettes they don’t smoke.
fuel excise isn’t directed to funding roads.
tobacco excise isn’t directed to funding hospitals.

@peters_malcolm @ALeighMP @geoffrey_payne Mr Peters; deep breath, such action could not be taken in any rationale effort to improve efficiency. Ideological nonsense stemming from; where? Mr Dutton’s plans to live in Sydney?
English

@ALeighMP @geoffrey_payne Andrew, for those of us that have interacted with Canberra bureaucracy know there is much inefficiency. In business you cut out that to save money. Is the Canberra model just stand by and let the inefficiency continue.
English

This is insane. Even if Dutton closed the head offices of the Departments of Defence, Home Affairs, Agriculture, Treasury, Foreign Affairs and Health, he'd still have less than 41,000 job cuts. #auspol

@Peter_Fitz Our solar panel project brought great cohesion; fund raising by students, parents, staff and commercial partners. Data used in Maths, Science, etc. Inspired engagement in sustainability generally and amplified student sense of belonging.
English

My brother, who was Principal of Dapto High for 19 years, just retired, brought in solar at that school, and I think when he left 65% of their energy needs coming from that alone.

@Peter_Fitz Everyday more and more of us position solar panels. Every time this happen the coalition’s nonsense is another step behind. Solar capacity is accumulating momentum; coal power stations losing financial efficacy. It’s time!!
English

South Australia to lead the world, with 100 per cent renewable by 2027! If they can do it, why can’t all of Australia?
