And Canada’s tax system puts the nail in the coffin for any young person trying to get ahead. Imagine, you work your ass off to get to $220,000 per year, the minimum required to qualify for a mortgage in Toronto or Vancouver. Then the Carney LPC govt says thanks very much as you are now considered super wealthy and every new dollar you make to pay down that mortgage faster is taxed at 53%, the highest marginal tax rate. Welcome to Canada.
