@BrightonNewsJo That’s not my experience… The Pembroke conservation area has had about 5 more trees removed over the last couple of weeks adding to those taken out and never replaced in previous years.

@thecharlieb81 People also miss the additional cost of state school places for the parents who either cannot afford the extra 20% or whose schools would fail under the extra tax burden.

Love it when people saying putting VAT on school fees would lead to increased state spending on education, as if it wouldn’t all be instantly hoovered up by the NHS and pensioner benefits.
