@markstanley @Clearpreso This is the best imo. But its not cheap
English

@Clearpreso I have a netgear orbi setup if you’re not as into Google tracking every single aspect of what you do.

@DrEricDing Your mate Brayam said we'd have a lot more than 7k cases by now... 300 million a few weeks ago, and "everyone" now? What stopped it?

NEW—It is time for the global public health community to recognize a growing reality: #Monkeypox is now a pandemic—unless we declare an emergency & act quickly to combat it, we risk repeating the same mistakes we made with covid.🧵@kavitapmd @yaneerbaryam

@DrEricDing The only thing dropping faster than the stock market is the vaccine efficacy, along with your credibility.

BREAKING—FDA says the #COVID19 vaccine made by Pfizer for children <5 is effective in producing a virus-blocking response and did not raise safety concerns. Overall, preliminary data indicated vaccine was 80.4% effective in preventing symptomatic COVID. 🧵

@Clearpreso Should have been kicked off twitter a long time ago, hes a 🤡

@JeffBezos By the very definition of inflation they will pay their fair share, through higher prices. Biden's tweet, like much of his output, is gibberish virtue signalling.
English

The newly created Disinformation Board should review this tweet, or maybe they need to form a new Non Sequitur Board instead. Raising corp taxes is fine to discuss. Taming inflation is critical to discuss. Mushing them together is just misdirection.
Joe Biden@JoeBiden
You want to bring down inflation? Let’s make sure the wealthiest corporations pay their fair share.

@ClareCraigPath Am I reading this correctly - or did they find that Obesity lowers your risk across the board to cardiovascular issues?

English

If I had a dataset of 6m people to look at cardiovascular outcomes after covid I would compare 4 groups:
a) never had covid nor vaccine
b) covid only
c) vaccine only
d) both
These authors failed to that.
Instead they took an odd approach 🧵

@indepdubnrth Slight problem... "Dan H. Barouch, corresponding author and one of the scientists who helped develop the Janssen vaccine, said: "The mRNA vaccines were characterised by high peak antibody responses that declined sharply by month six and declined further by month eight."
English

Now it's become more important to protect vaccinated people from unvaccinated people. Shouldn't unvaccinated people like me be wearing a badge, a yellow one perhaps?

Sen. Garret Ahearn (FG) calls for an extension of vaccine apartheid throughout the winter, admitting that part of its function would be to coerce people into getting vaxxed.

I look forward to the inevitable "Battle of South William Street" docu-series on Netflix, that will arise from this unexpected battleground. twitter.com/MichealSeosamh…

@paulyq What else was populist misinformation before it wasn't? We might find a lot more than we thought, if its ever admitted to.
English

@KerrillT Much cruder than that, but gives an idea of the media coverage level per county. And the differences between social and news, point to peoples behaviour. Are they sharing the news on covid or not? Which might point to levels of fatigue on the topic.
English

@Clearpreso The other headline that got scrapped... "Several counties still have lower incidence rate than the national average"

@phytools_liam @Perrid13 @DeniseDSLu Amazing work Liam, and bravo for your bravery to keep the narrative aligned to real measurements.
English

@andrewmull @Perrid13 @DeniseDSLu Or you can go directly to it here: covid19-explorer.org/1918/. 2/2
English

@Perrid13 @phytools_liam @DeniseDSLu It is a very selective use of data and that is misleading. I doubt any other measure could have even been compared to 1918 on any scale or measure, with the exception of the delta from the prior year. Which as a measure, is as much about the prior year, as the year in question.
English

@andrewmull @phytools_liam @DeniseDSLu It’s NOT misleading to judge a change by what the “normal” is, by what the expected value is. Yes, it’s good to understand the underlying data, but saying the change from 2019 to 2020 was bigger than any other year is both true and relevant.
