Nothing screams “the Shield is BACK” like Marcus Harris piling on runs at the MCG 🥱

Boxing Day 2006. Warnie 700th and charging around the outfield on Day 1. Roy dirty slog over long on to bring up his first hundred and iconic bear hug with Haydos. Both top 5 live cricket watching memories for me. So sad

@lil_con69 @TimRule14 I’m on the golf ball bi-furcation train! Totally agree it’s more interesting when there is a genuine choice to be made on what club to use on the tee

@lil_con69 @TimRule14 Completely disagree haha. Wider fairways with short grass is much more interesting for me. Short hitters are even more boned if fairways are hard to hit. If everyone is missing fairways then the blokes hitting wedge instead of 6-iron will dominate (see Bryson at winged foot).

Have been reflecting on Warnie and can’t help but be reminded of how I felt when Steve Irwin passed away. Larger than life larrikin Aussie icon, adored by the masses who you felt was going to have a huge impact on the country for decades. Will leave a large hole. Just really sad

Genuinely shaken by Warnie’s passing. Watching his 700th wicket at Boxing Day 2006 and seeing him wheel around the MCG with teammates in tow and 95,000 people going nuts is close to my most cherished sporting memory. A maverick and true icon for us cricket lovers. Thanks Warnie

.@OCMGolf & @mikeclaytongolf designed @bonniedoongc a wonderful course full of width, angles, slopes & shapes to interest & challenge golfers of all abilities. It makes me so sad that this is how the club has chosen to present it when when the greatest audience will see it.
