@KVanValkenburg I hear this. When I was a 19yo cadet I had to death knock the family of a dad who got hit by a car & killed while filling his car with petrol. I was terrified. The wife asked me in and I spent three hours with her laughing & crying. Still think about that regularly 23 years on.

When I was a metro reporter at the Sun, I had to write a story about a 16-year-old girl who died by suicide. I called her mom, so scared I'd get screamed at. Her mom invited me over, showed me pics of her, read her poetry. When the story ran, the mom thanked me. Hardest by far.

@Whiteyslb Gymea to Brookvale return is a pretty decent hike! There’s a place in the CBD that’s been recommended to me as well, but I only go in a couple of times a month so even that doesn’t really suit. My guy Tommy plus my local gym is doing the job nicely though.

@mikeclaytongolf People looking at the sandbelt and thinking the lesson is to have lots of bunkers = people looking at Augusta National and thinking the lesson is for everything to be really green.

Because all the best sandbelt courses have a lot (80+) bunkers there has always been the belief (certainly in Melbourne) “all good courses have a lot of bunkers”. Away from the sandbelt on heavy soil Yering shows you can do a lot with 30 bunkers.
