As a Gen Xer, I can tell you boomers and even my own generation comparing their 20s to today’s 20-30 year-olds needs to stop. I paid $600 for a West Hollywood apartment at 23. Today it’s $3500. Burgers weren’t $20, they were $6 to $8 in a nice restaurant. Life is not comparable. It’s a completely different world now.

@ThinkFYS1975 @johncrossmirror @theofficialfwa That's fine. And it's within the rules just about. I'm just saying I'm not a big fan of it. Would prefer a team who win the league to play more attractive football but that's probably not been the case in a while.

For reasons I can't quite understand, Arsenal have gone from being very popular with neutrals to being, well, rather unpopular. I actually think much of this makes sense.
Telegraph Football@TeleFootball

For many fans, 'anyone but Manchester City' has become 'anyone but Arsenal' this season. As the two clubs prepare to meet in this weekend's Carabao Cup final, @Carra23 explains why Mikel Arteta's side have their detractors 👇 telegraph.co.uk/football/2026/…

@LoEl81 Redknapp still a scouser! Bournemouth definitely a penalty, but Amad's was even worse! Rather have Carra than this prick!

Jamie Redknapp’s justification for Amad not getting a penalty: ‘I just don’t think it’s denying a goal scoring opportunity’ That’s the red card rule Jamie, it doesn’t determine whether you get a penalty or not, you thick twat!

Tuchel gives 11 players, who've had intense club seasons, “a bit of a break” and they will miss the Uruguay game: D Henderson, Burn, Konsa, Guehi, Anderson, O’Reilly, Rice, Rogers, Kane, Gordon, Saka. "All of these guys have played 3,500+ mins. They will come with hunger." #ENG

@manuscott68 @goal Slightly older at 18 but potentially two of the best in the respective squads!! I guess the other youngster who springs to mind would be Walcott. Who am I missing?

Thomas Tuchel hasn't ruled out bringing Max Dowman to the World Cup 🤯 The England manager stated 'He’s a fantastic talent. The reality is he’s not a regular starter. He’s in the best environment possible, learning from the very best' 👏 Would you take him to the World Cup if you were the England manager? 🤔

@Doro_larko @goal There’s no denying Greenwood is an exceptional talent, but he’ll be nowhere near the England squad. PR disaster. I do struggle with it slightly though, because at some point there should be room for rehabilitation, forgiveness, and the possibility that people can change.

@davidsmith1932 I've fallen into that trap. With kids I don't have the time to watch other teams like I used to (or play FIFA and football manager!) The guardian app has a wee daily test of guess the footballer which I'm finding interesting (but struggling with!)

I'm ashamed to say that looking at Bournemouth's team, i don't recognise any of their side, that could potentially bite me in the arse by 10pm..I really need to improve my non Utd 'ball' knowledge.

So it's actually a story about parents gifting their money into their children's Junior ISAs (to take money out of their estate and reduce future inheritance tax) But you chose to use a chart about the breakdown between Cash ISAs and Stocks and Shares ISAs. (which is still money in their estate and doesn't change future inheritance tax) 🤔

Share trading platforms that offer attractive rates on Cash ISAs, often short term, to then market their share trading services to you Predatory? Buyer beware? Beat them at their own game? I can’t decide on this one.

Huge missed opportunity that these new trains will not be owned by ScotRail They are being leased by Beacon Rail which is owned by JP Morgan Asset Management Rolling stock is the most profitable bit of the railway Scotland should own its own trains! bbc.co.uk/news/articles/…

@DomMgy1 @StuartSmudge @AnnabelDenham1 The houses are still available to rent, there are enough houses. The problem is property being turned into an asset class instead of a place to live and bought up by financial institutions and mega-landlords.

@simoncholland A, does she know how many gallons of gas that car holds B, does she know how many miles per gallon her car gets? You need to have the variables in order to do the calculation The fuel gauge in cars can misrepresented, especially at the very beginning when the tank is full

Stat of the day from @Moneyfactscomp Sub-4% fixed rate mortgage deals are disappearing, thanks to higher money market swap rates But anyone assuming that remortgaging isn't worthwhile should note that the average standard rate (payable when a fixed deal expires) is 7.13% 🏠🏡🏫

I understand the desire to abolish inheritance tax And as someone who manages a lot of investments for a lot pensioners if they’re no longer worried about inheritance tax, we’re likely to manage more money for more time But be careful what you wish for If the flow of money from parents and grandparents to their children and grandchildren stops, a lot of property purchases wouldn’t go ahead. A lot of spending would no longer happen.
Restore Britain@RestoreBritain_

A Restore Britain Government would abolish inheritance tax in all its malignant forms. Read our policy paper below... assets.nationbuilder.com/restorebritain…
