A random premier player that did a single trade up using the skins they already had will never carry the market. And once the market dies out, valve will be left to regret their choices

So u are telling me the prices of skins we had last year were natural? A fucking $1000 for a butterfly scorched was natural? A hand wraps that nobody uses for $500 are natural? Thats exactly why Valve makes these updates, to settle down all the greed that have taken over this community. Those prices bring attention, from lawyers to goverments who notice it, and start asking questuons, thats the reason Valve is stepping away from cases aswell..

Regular people, including me lost money yes, but we aint bitching every single day like u, literally every day i see charts with complaining how the makret is crashing, yall wasnt crying last year in january when all the prices were 300% + yall didnt think about the regular players then, NOW u mention them LOL, get a fuching job weirdo, skins are made for playing, not investing. Prices stopped making any sense. At some point it was literally throwing money away. Everyone was a market genius during the bull run. Now it's about picking the right items and being patient. Valve made other skins more expensive and more desirable, since you can trade up with them for knives, and they have brought fresh, new ideas which is important. No one knew what was going to happen, but in the long run it's good for the market, skins were too expensive and clearly overvalued.

After 1.5 years of bull run and major skin system changes, a correction was more than expected and also needed for a healthy market.
Let's be honest. Prices stopped making any sense. At some point it was literally throwing money away.
Everyone was a market genius during the bull run. Now it's about picking the right items and being patient. Stop complaining.

Wonder about the impact of the new trade-ups? There are ~20 million coverts (excluding knives and gloves). Even if you traded up every single lower-tier skin to a covert, it only adds ~9M more. In the worst-case scenario, if all ~29M of those Coverts were traded up, it would roughly double the supply of Knives & Gloves from ~5.5m to ~11m. However, that would require every single skin to be traded to a Knife/Glove. It is more likely that the total supply increases far less.
