@friendlycsss agreed
as soon as something hits $2k its not like everybody suddenly uses steam market for it
English

wait so someone can just
- buy a kato craft on a marketplace
- make it souvenir to delete the stickers
- trade reverse
and the seller loses their kato craft?
KrisGFX@KrisGfx
BRO WHAT? You can remove stickers on items that are not tradable if you try to make them souvenir??? Valve?? Explain??
English

to anyone who insists that cases are the same as pokemon, ask yourself this question honestly
if you conducted a study where you had one group of kids open a few cases weekly versus another opening pokemon packs, then followed them to adulthood and tracked their addiction rates, what do you think the difference would be between the two groups (also vs control group)?
anyone who says it would be the same is lying
English

@skripexd everyone says “same as pokemon”
the difference is friction. with skins you can open a case, instasell and buy it back again. the experience is designed to be repeated and frictionless
pokemon just doesnt have that
its not really legally definable but its a real difference

@TechsavvyCS 100% agreed this is the issue. The CS market now has a level of risk that it didn’t really have before, and buyers can’t trust that their skins will always retain value so a normal person can’t justify spending thousands on then
English

The CS2 Market is in a REALLY scary spot right now... but 1 TINY change could fix it...📉😬
Pretty much everything has been bleeding for months straight.
The entire reason skins got this expensive in the first place is because people believed that if they bought a skin, they could later resell it for around the same price... or even profit.
As of now, this belief has been completely shattered.
People are panic selling, which pushes prices down even more, which causes even MORE panic selling. It’s a brutal positive feedback loop, and that’s a REALLY bad thing for the long term health of the market.
Sure, cheaper skins sound great on paper. But if people lose confidence that they can resell without taking a massive L, that hurts everyone.
Valve NEEDS to do something.
Step 1: FINALLY rotate the Armory skins. 🙏
Should Valve let the free market find the new equilibrium, or is there something else they need to do? Would love to discuss with y'all in replies. ❤️

2 new scam accounts @cs2jarvis @zytheracs2
To most, these accounts are obvious - but this ring of scammers are stealing tens of thousands of skins a week cosplaying as cash traders.
Remember, if nobody notable is following them, it's highly likely they are a scammer.

I've confirmed that jarvis scammed a pair of MW Occults this week, please report the account below⬇️
