This exchange is a textbook example of why diplomacy isn’t just about who yells louder—it’s about credibility, leverage, and historical context. From Macron’s side, it looks like a classic “carrot-and-stick” pitch: reopen the strait, get rewards. Easy on paper. But Pezeshkian immediately flips the frame: “Where were you when sanctions strangled our economy? When foreign powers destabilized our region?” — basically, you built this mess, now you want us to clean it up? The kicker is that Macron is asking for special treatment for European ships, which reads as, “We want you to fix a global problem, but we still expect preferential treatment.” Pezeshkian sees this as the ultimate double standard—no trust, no negotiation. The larger point here is brutal but real: global crises like this don’t exist in a vacuum. You can’t just wave away decades of intervention and expect compliance; the past shapes the present. This isn’t just Iran being “intransigent”—it’s rational from their perspective. Now here’s the spicy part for debate: if Macron and Europe really wanted to reopen Hormuz safely, would unconditional guarantees ever be enough, or is trust-building decades-long work that can’t be shortcut by carrots and oil deals? Because let’s be honest—if you were in Pezeshkian’s seat, would you ever hang up politely, or just say: “Nice try, now deal with the history first”?

📞 Macron calls Iranian President Dr. Masoud Pezeshkian: Stop closing the Strait of Hormuz and you can have whatever you want… France and Europe are ready to lift all sanctions, offer major oil and gas deals, and support you in international negotiations, on the condition that you immediately reopen the strait and restore freedom of navigation. He told him: You are causing an unprecedented global energy crisis. Oil prices are skyrocketing, the European economy will collapse, and the whole world will pay the price because of the ships being stopped in Hormuz. President Pezeshkian interrupted him calmly and firmly: Where were you when you imposed harsh sanctions on our people for decades? Where were you when you supported aggression against the region and ignited wars that have already destabilized the security of Hormuz? Macron: This is a new chapter… We propose an urgent meeting in Paris or Geneva, and Europe will give you real economic and security guarantees. Pezeshkian: We don't trust guarantees from countries that repeatedly betray their agreements. We simply want: a complete cessation of military support for Israel, and the immediate and unconditional lifting of all sanctions, otherwise the Strait of Hormuz will remain closed… or the pressure will increase. Macron: And a special exemption for French and European ships to ensure safe passage? Pezeshkian: First, remove the American and Israeli military presence from the Gulf, then we can talk about passage. Iran does not deal with those who play both sides. That's all I have to say. Then he hung up. 💥

No, this exact dialogue isn't verified. Macron has publicly described several March calls with Pezeshkian, urging an end to regional attacks and immediate restoration of navigation in the Strait of Hormuz. Iranian statements note Pezeshkian highlighting US/Israeli actions as the root cause of instability. No credible outlets report the quoted back-and-forth or hang-up—it appears dramatized.

Trump has declared a trade war against Europe sided with Putin against Ukraine, the EU, and NATO. He is blowing up the Middle East, triggering stagflation and market turmoil. He is hurting Europe’s economy badly. So when he complains about NATO, we should tell him to get stuffed.

BREAKING: French Senator Claude Malhuret TORCHES Trump and his alcoholic, drug-addicted administration on the floor of the Luxembourg Palace: "Every time the Epstein affair resurfaces, bombs explode somewhere in the world and cause a distraction!" This might be the greatest MAGA takedown of all time. Nobody was spared... "A year ago, here in France, I compared Trump's presidency to Nero's Court. I was wrong. It's the miracle court. An anti-vaxxer, former heroin addict as Minister of Health," he said, referring to RFK Jr. Malhuret's comparison to the mad Emperor Nero is fitting. It's said that he fiddled while Rome burned. In Trump's case, he's building a ballroom while the entire world goes up in flames. "A climate-skeptic Minister of Economy. An alcoholic TV host, Minister of the Armed Forces," Malhuret continued, referring to Treasury Secretary Scott Bessent and Defense Secretary Pete Hegseth. "An old Qatar agent, Minister of Justice. A groupie of Putin, Minister of National Security," Malhuret went on, referring to Attorney General Pam Bondi and Director of National Intelligence Tulsi Gabbard. Bondi previously worked for the Ballard Partners firm which raked in $115,000 a month by lobbying on behalf of Qatar. "A Turkish proverb says 'When a clown settles in a palace, he does not become king, it is the palace that becomes a circus," said Malhuret. "His fine team has decided to create a competitor to the UN. Since the creation of the Board of Peace, Trump has triggered more military strikes than Biden during his entire term." "Every time the Epstein affair resurfaces, bombs explode somewhere in the world and cause a distraction," he continued. "Bomb more to win more." This is how the world now sees the American president: as a pedophile desperately exploiting his role as commander-in-chief to obscure the fact that he preyed on children with his long-time pal Jeffrey Epstein. "There isn't a single country where Trump did not take advantage of the situation to enrich himself without ever forgetting his family. A Boeing plane offered by Qatar," he said, referring to the $400 million jet that Qatar "gifted" to Trump. "Investment in all Gulf projects or elsewhere. Stock market manipulation that only a few insiders benefit from." "Any one of these conflicts of interest would have caused here an immediate procedure of impeachment here," Malhuret. "But we are not here. We are in MAGA's America where public business is conducted in favor of private interests." Rarely have we heard such an exhaustive yet succinct distillation of the Trump administration's rampant criminality and incompetence. By focusing on individual Cabinet members and what makes them uniquely unfit for office and then expanding the aperture to the broader patterns of corruption and malignancy, Malhuret delivered a master class in political messaging. Every mainstream outlet in the U.S. should be running this speech to show Americans what the world thinks of our leaders. Since they won't, make sure to like and share to spread this far and wide!
