I saw this live and wondered whether someone had just made an error scheduling a post. Seems to have been a different but still pretty basic error. altis-dxp.com/did-the-uk-bud…
@KatieKeithBarn2 Yes. I had two phones (yours and mine) and had them on the chair so I could check the photos at the same time. Why are you questioning something so trivial?!
Just noticed that in the banner image on my Twitter profile, my own husband has his back to me and isn’t even watching my amazing presentation 🫨
Not sure what was going on there… 🤨
Survived my first ever solo WordCamp talk, which was about how to transition from a WordPress agency to product company. People seemed to enjoy it and asked me lots of questions afterwards.
If you missed it, then you can watch it here.

When we design WooCommerce plugins, we always analyze Woo's admin pages and copy the styles to achieve the same look and feel.
Yesterday @brentmackinnon from @WooCommerce told me that Woo provide a full design library for admin components!
This mostly covers the new style of admin pages which hasn't been implemented in core yet, but will be very helpful in the future.

Can you recommend a good course on how to create a WordPress site from start to finish, ideally using full-site editing?
This is for Barn2's YouTuber @samwaines, who is experienced with using our plugins and wants to expand his overall knowledge to add context to his work.
@KatieKeithBarn2 Probably not illegal, but very unethical. Fork ACF if you want, but don't force people from one plugin to another without their consent. Goes against the freedom to choose values WP is supposed to embody.
A lot of people are weighing in on the ACF fork vs. theft argument but I genuinely don’t know what the law says about taking a plugin’s existing user base, reviews etc. without consent.
Have any qualified lawyers given an opinion on this yet as I’d love to know what they say?
If I would fork WordPress (which I won't, to be clear), I would change all 𝘢𝘳𝘳𝘢𝘺() references to [].😄 Does anyone know why this hasn't happened yet? I know it's not super important and time consuming but I honestly think it would set a precedent to modernize code.
Andy's last day was Friday, so from today I'm running Barn2 Plugins alone 🙀🦾
You may notice that I use the word 'Co' in lots of things - Co-Host of podcasts, Co-Speaker at WordCamps, Co-Founder, Co-Director... So running the company on my own is a big leap! Although I was already the CEO, having another Director meant that success or failure didn't rest entirely on my shoulders.
Maybe it's time I stop figuring things out as I go along and think more seriously about strategy - especially since Andy has kindly agreed not to sell his 50% of the shares and is trusting me to continue growing their value. According to my timesheets, I have spent a grand total of 6 minutes on "Training & Learning" since January 🤦♀️ so I should probably invest more time in developing my business and management skills 🤔
The good thing is: He's still around. He will always be there if you need advice, encouragement or a kick in the butt. You have both been working towards this for a while as you have now built a team who from my experience of seeing them, are as committed as you to building barn2 into a force to be reckoned with. Don't forget to plan for your exit too. ¡Buena suerte!
It's a great feeling to see familiar faces and friends at just my third #WordCamp event!
Thanks to everyone for being in my videos and thanks to the organizers and volunteers for all their hard work! #WCEU
I'm ready for my Italian holiday now! 😅
