@janecoaston There used to be an anti-baseball fandom within the sport but after like 15 years of reflexively defending the stuff everyone hated, the league fixed it and now there is no anti-baseball fandom within the sport. Basketball could maybe take the criticism seriously.

Spotify announces new “Reserved” feature, which will allow artists to set aside concert tickets for fans on the platform. It will use streams, shares and other forms of activity to identify an artist’s most dedicated fans and hold two tour tickets for them. The fans will then have a day-long window to purchase the tickets.

The problem with this point lf view is that wealthy home builders are NIMBYs for three reasons: 1. They benefit from a byzantine system only they can navigate 2. Many of them build SFHs and won't benefit from density 3. They live in the suburbs and don't want more homes.

Many don't know how bad the school enrollment decline in big blue counties is. E.g. Los Angeles USD went from 646,683 kids enrolled in 2014 to 392,654 in 2025. Nearly a 40% decline in 11 years. There are both fewer kids in the country as a whole, and few families can afford LA.

I missed one. To recap, San Diego Asm Tasha Boerner, who endorsed Tom Steyer today, in the span of a few months endorsed the gubernatorial campaigns for Toni Atkins, Eleni Kounalakis, Ian Calderon, and Eric Swalwell only to see their campaigns implode soon after.
