@siracusa I'm sure you hear this all the time, but as a 1.5-2x speed listener, even the song sounds tired and drunk at normal speed.

Something I'd love to stumble upon is a fleshed out, mature "TypeScript on Rails". The spirit of rails but built from the start taking advantage of the TS type system (and strategically not using it in the right spots).

Message from the Commander: Patriotism always seems to be a little bit higher around Independence Day. This year, I am asking you to show your patriotism in a different way -- by wearing a mask. (1/4)

@tapbot_paul I was kind of shocked to get that same message for my (almost) maxed out 2018 MBP, but it has signs of battery swelling. If I answer no to the swelling question, it does give me a trade amount.

@ericnormand I tried an Ergodox (and a few other progressively more unusual options) for similar reasons, and ended up with a Kenesis Advantage2. It's not as programmable as an Ergodox, but much more comfortable in my opinion, and the thumb buttons are much easier to use.

I'm this close to buying an ergodox. I've never spent so much on a keyboard. I use a $30 bluetooth one, but I want to protect my wrists for the future. And while I'm at it, I should go in style. Should I buy it? What's your verdict.

@marcoarment As a non-Mac developer, it’s also exciting because it should offer a way to get started (even just to scratch my own itches) and not feel like it’s ultimately a waste of time and effort.

Nextdoor took a pretty quick turn from 95% lost dogs and cats to 95% things stolen out of unlocked cars and subposting at neighbors.

@michaelgorsuch I don’t know what all of that is but I feel like I need a wall of it in my house.

@ans4175 @CouchDB @pouchdb You can filter which documents are synced. See here: #controlling-which-documents-to-replicate" target="_blank" rel="nofollow noopener">docs.couchdb.org/en/stable/repl…

@andy_morris @CouchDB @pouchdb Hey, I just wanna to ask quick question. Is it PouchDB will mirroring CouchDB entire data? Or can it just mirroring certain query or segment data from CouchDB. i.e if i have user A data in CouchDB, can I just sync those data to PouchDB? Thanks

I have tried multiple times, can confirm. Whatever you’re doing, it’s harder than you think. For data, @couchdb and @pouchdb are where it’s at.

@garybernhardt I started the same journey in the same place, tried Ergodox and other handmade split keyboards, and eventually ended up with what I was originally trying to avoid: Kinesis Advantage. It feels great but I do feel like I type a little slower overall.

I’m often a proponent of YAGNI, but man, it sucks when you get a couple years down the line and it turns out that you did, in fact, need it.

@jeresig @jeresig send a client version in a header on every request, checked by middleware on the backend. If a failed version check response is received, tell the user there’s a new version and they need to reload.

For folks that've developed Single Page Apps - how do you deal with users leaving pages open for a *really* long time? Reload every N days? Reload after a deploy? We frequently have users attempt actions many weeks after a feature was removed!

I replaced my kitchen sink recently and now all of my Youtube/Amazon/Quora/etc recommendations are about plumbing. I wonder how long this will take to wear off.
