REST OF SUNDAY & OVERNIGHT The main band of snow from overnight has now moved away northwards. As we head towards the evening, rain will set in from the west then northwest, some of it heavy. This will fall as sleet and snow on the highest ground. Slightly less cold for a time but colder air will return later and into Monday. A slow thaw of snow will occur but with 5-15 cms in places it will take a while as temperatures won't rise that much. However, with rain for most lasting on and off into the night, this will aid a thaw. Any snow that remains, mostly on higher ground, is likely to hang around into the coming week, as it will remain cold and overnight we will have some sharp frosts with temperatures well below-zero and icy conditions will develop where we have a slow-thaw going on during the daytime. So, in summary, further #snow is expected on higher ground later today and overnight. Some sleet or wet-snow might just show itself towards morning on lower ground but no further accumulations are expected here. Southern parts of the region are under a rain warning and northern parts are under a snow and ice warning. Graphic shows the wintry mix moving through the region overnight. Throughout, the wind will be bitter. Max 4°C Min 2°C #uksnow

@andyatdelph Yes posted the snow one before this. Probably rain/sleet for most on low-levels but a long way off. All depends on the track of the low.
