@SamanvitaRavik1 @AndyBeetroot @jamesymorton @Jlnlouis @dan_owie @pugh_jamie @DrTheoBampouras 13C-labelled glucose-fructose show greater exogenous and whole-body CHO oxidation and lower O2 cost of running at 120 versus 60 and 90 g·h−1 in marathoners

Super proud of this : 120 g/h improves whole body CHO metabolism, exogenous CHO oxidation and running economy in male elite marathoners! Congrats to @SamanvitaRavik1, co-authors @pugh_jamie @AndyBeetroot funders @ScienceinSport @LJMU @EnglandAthletic

@DrMJoyner @KBurola @MicZanini @AndyBeetroot @ShalayaKipp @stevemagness @Steve_Sailer my take: up to 1 hour is limited by ox delivery and ability to minimize or tolerate muscular metab changes (trained well by intense bouts). For full M, glycogen depletion and bio-mechanical robustness [run-eco resilience] becomes an issue -> more miles/higher volume to develop

Very excited to be speaking with the great @DrPhilipSkiba on the Strength Running podcast soon!
If you could ask him one question, what would it be?

We’re conducting a study on how lactate measurements are used to monitor endurance training intensity. If you’re an athlete or coach who uses lactate testing in your sessions, we’d love your input!Sharing is aprreciated!
