@BBCPM I’ve just heard the about removing boarding information trial at Kings X. Pointless and patronising. They can close barriers 1 min before departure anyway. The departure board is some distance from platforms. Stop meddling and let passengers have the information they need!

UPDATE: Sad news via @andybrammers, that the lovely 1923 Clough Williams-Ellis cottage in Oxford has now been demolished. It was commissioned by the Canadian author and early 20th century feminist Lily Dougall, and her same-sex partner Sophia Earp. C20 Society attempted to save the property back in 2022, but our application to spot list was rejected.

This is the house on Davenant Road Oxford that @C20CenturySociety want to save. I’ve walked past it many times like today and admired it’s simplicity. Turns out it was designed by Clough Williams-Ellis (Portmeirion) so definitely worth listing G2 I’d say ✊

Sad about Benjamin Zephaniah. I was already a fan when he opened a Hackney housing scheme I’d been job architect for in 93. He read out a poem he’d written about it - wish I’d kept it. He was funny humble and warm but punched hard politically R.I.P.

Today we celebrate 75 years since the arrival of the Empire Windrush at Tilbury Docks, and the dawn of modern multicultural Britain. The historic Riverside Station & landing stage at Tilbury (design Sir Edwin Cooper, 1924), are Grade II* listed as part of our national heritage.
