Hayden Hackney is the EFL Championship Player of the Season, his reward for another strong campaign at the heart of the Middlesbrough midfield. The 23-year-old is perhaps the most progressive player in any second divison anywhere in the world. He moves the ball forward in his sleep, both as a passer and ball-carrier, and his numbers are on a different planet. He is the type of playmaking midfielder that can drive teams and change their outlooks. Last summer, @AshwinRaman_ analysed his exceptional skills but also pinpointed the aspects he needs to improve as he scales up to the Premier League. Read now on SCOUTED: bit.ly/4l2WYYg

New Jersey is ready and excited to host eight FIFA World Cup matches this summer – including the World Cup Final. Since I took office, my Administration has been working to prepare for the biggest sporting event our state has ever seen – and today, NJ TRANSIT released their Mobility Plan to move 40,000 fans to and from each match safely and efficiently. In the FIFA World Cup agreement that my Administration inherited, FIFA put zero dollars towards transporting World Cup fans. It also eliminated parking at MetLife Stadium, putting the burden of transporting four times more matchday riders than typical for an event at the stadium on NJ TRANSIT. This agreement will cost NJ TRANSIT at least $48 million, while FIFA is positioned to make $11 billion during the World Cup. As I have said repeatedly, FIFA should cover the cost of transporting its fans. If it won’t, we will not be subsidizing World Cup ticket holders on the backs of New Jerseyans who rely on NJ TRANSIT every day.

Chido Obi scores in 118min to put #MUFC on brink of reaching FA Youth Cup final. Brilliant ball through from James Overy, just on, with Obi finishing so calmly, rounding Lucca Benetton to tap into open net. JJ Gabriel, who had gone off injured, booked for celebrating on pitch.

🚨🚆 #MUFC’s travelling squad for tomorrow’s trip to London has been revealed. Michael Carrick has 21 players available for the clash with Chelsea at Stamford Bridge and it’s now been confirmed Leny Yoro is out injured so he’s no travelling with the squad 🔴👀 [MEN]

You could swap the audio around for the two incidents in the Bournemouth game and they’d be the same justifications for giving/not giving the pens. So much consistency from these clowns, and in this instance IN THE SAME GAME!

Plenty of handwringing about English sides in the UCL but once again (at least one) team fighting relegation will be in a Europa League semi-final. Nottingham Forest have obviously prioritised the PL within the KO run too. Think that says far more about the strength of the PL
