The government was right to welcome Ukrainian refugees fleeing war. There is only one reason that people in Gaza, displaced by a genocide that our government abetted, are treated differently. That reason is anti-Palestinian racism.

Hamas is now claiming that Israel violated the ceasefire and therefore they will not release any more hostages. They also accused Israel of violating the ceasefire in 2012, 2014, 2015, 2018, 2021, 2022, and 2023. Let's see how President Trump reacts.

If you ask me, the real reason Hamas have delayed or postponed the hostage release for this coming Saturday has nothing to do with Israel violating anything. It has everything to do with the fact that the remaining hostages are in such dire condition and likely more fragile and more emaciated than the last three, and they know the reaction will be severe. So they’re delaying to force feed the hostages and give them medical attention for the first time in 16 months to reduce the likelihood of a global uproar. However the hostages have little time and need far better care than they’d get from Hamas. If Hamas postpone the release we should immediately call an evacuation order of all people in North Gaza and send twice as many soldiers to Gaza where we’ve just left. No more concessions and no more negotiations. We knew they’d play games and it’s time to do what needs to be done. Cut all aid immediately. All of it. No food, no electricity, no water, no anything. We need to end this now.
