Well @British_Airways as longtime loyal customers it's galling to lose gold status on 31 March. I've 17200 tier pts this yr, over 2x needed for silver, a big outlay of loyalty for a retail flyer, but just fall short of gold. 10000 wasted tier pts which cld be earned elsewhere?

At last achieved gold in the BA Club (formerly BA Executive Club). However, with the changes recently announced probably have to settle for silver after April 2026, but silver has always worked well for me. In the meantime I'm going to bask in the glow of gold 😎

The moment of truth for our Christmas Day wine and this Ch Rauzan-Segla '95 that we bought en p 28 years ago and saw for the first time 6 weeks ago is marvellous. Hoped it would be as we've been enjoying the '07 recently but this is much better. Patience rewarded. Happy Holidays

For those who for yrs enjoyed hearing about other interests with like-minded folk, it's no longer the place. My timeline is crowded with stuff I don't want which drowns out the rest

@KirstieMAllsopp Why do we all have to give up Twitter all of a sudden? It’s not as if people can’t express themselves freely here If anything it’s the opposite: people who are leaving want to be protected from hearing others who don’t share their views.

How can I be excepted to give up Twitter when there is still content like this?

@scottiebateman I've moved over. I can't run two accounts so I'm trying the other place for a while. So far so good but I'll miss folk. For me it's not political, it's the unwanted vitriol on my timeline here that crowds out the people I follow

I’ve started an account in that blue place with the same @ … just as a contingency…always have a plan B (lue). I’m staying here as I’ve got loads of great friends who are staying put too.
