@OfficeShoes Hi. Can you please provide a status on order #W72074627. Bought online 9 days ago, awaiting confirmation it has arrived at the store for collection.
English

@minsterman No argument here. But if we're compiling "greatest f-you songs" then GYOW has to be in the conversation.
English

@andyjefford I feel like that was our Dad's f-you song though. This one's ours. (Maybe Kelis' Caught Out There as well, but that feels a bit... route one?) "I hate you so much right now" has nothing on "I feel well enough to tell you what you can do with what you've got to offer" as a lyric
English

It's one of THE great songs. And it's certainly the greatest f- you song. And I still get goosebumps when Bernard cracks that Gibson and the strings kick in.

Now that everyone's banging on about 90s music, let us not forget this gem from Uncle Jools' Later show in '95. McAlmont & Butler - Yes
English

@minsterman (and with my middle-aged Dad hat on, I'd also throw "Go Your Own Way" into the mix for "greatest f-you" song)
English

@minsterman It's a really minor part of how great this is, but for some reason the way it goes straight from the first chorus to the second verse without a gap always grabs me.
English

@GrahamtRuddick Likewise (without the Graham bit). His massive partnership with Hussein against Aussies at Edgbaston in 1997 is my first proper international cricket memory.
English

@British_Airways Hi. How early can I check in bags at Bordeaux airport? I’m on the 23:20 tomorrow to LGW. Thanks.

If the chancellor really wants to cut taxes can he start with abolishing VAT on renovations/retrofits? Asking for the property industry. And... myself. #Budget2024
English

@willgkelleher @TimesSport 1. Kick-offs no later than 3pm (limits drunks, easier journeys home for families).
2. Cut music + geeing-up - atmosphere has to be organic.
3. Higher proportion of tix distributed via clubs. RFU organised coaches from further regions.
4. Fundamentally: play better rugby.
English

A thought for you...
England fans. What would you do to improve the Twickenham atmos, make it a "horrible place" to go as J George said, more engaging for English & less welcoming, hospitable for away teams?
You can't say make it £20 tickets, and beers £3... @TimesSport
English

@RufusTSuperfly @alexmassie a well-known opponent in the Sussex cricket leagues too. Many an over-enthusiastic young batsman seen off by his looping deliveries at @RottingdeanCC

If you don’t care about hedge fund millionaires using underwater robots to hunt for Nazi treasure, I’ll be honest, my latest story probably isn’t for you. With @oliviasolon and @jonny_browning

@ojngill @cricketworldcup @hatcherdavid England grounds generally much smaller than in India though, of course, and some judicious use of likes of Taunton (3 games, 12,500 capacity) and Cardiff (4 matches, 15,600 capacity) helped avoid emptyseatitis.
English

@ojngill @cricketworldcup They weren't. @hatcherdavid and I went to Sri Lanka v Aus at The Oval and was pretty much a sell-out if memory serves.
English

Can anyone remember if the grounds were this empty for the group stages of @cricketworldcup in England?
English

Do hope this makes @lavuelta organisers think next time

So that was it. 2 minutes of show time after months of hard work staying on top of mountains. So so disappointed. I was really looking forward to this 3 week battle around Spain with all the superstars at the start line. But life is not always fair and the race always moves on…

A maiden ton for Steve Lovell (@AshesUrnie) helped the 3rd XI on their way to victory yesterday!
He was one of two century-makers yesterday afternoon!

@Ed_Stocker I was the other way round! London Fields as a teenager, Money much later. Both fantastic.
English

Devastated about the death of #MartinAmis: the most talented writer I've ever read, from the wordplay of his fiction to the take-downs in his non-fiction. Reading Money as a teenager was a revelation; right now, I happen to be reading London Fields for the firs time.
