Visited my local town centre recently. Back in the 80s it was a vibrant thriving town with loads of boutiques, department stores & banks. Now the streets are filthy & littered with rubbish, people were drinking in doorways & every other shop was a charity shop, vape shop & Turkish barbers, it was really depressing to see. It’s so sad to see the decline as you’d expect over the years to see a country improve & thrive, not decline. Where’s all our money gone? It just feels like this country has intentionally been asset stripped & OUR money sent abroad.
