So just to confirm... I made a video 14 years ago in which I used hyperbole to show the double standards when it comes to racism in South Africa. The video is then snipped by mainstream media, completely removing all context, blasted across all platforms and eventually the DA decides to throw me under the bus instead of standing on principle. Literally, less than a week after my removal from Parliament, an EFF MP, Busisiwe Mkhwebane, makes racial remarks towards Indian people, it's not taken out of context, it's not snipped, it's posted by herself, after swearing an oath of allegiance to our constitution, in 2024 and posted by herself in her own words on X. Yet there is absolutely zero outcry from the same mob that demanded I be removed and also ZERO intent from the @SAHRCommission. So the argument in my video from 14 years ago was whether a double standard of racism exists in this country. I guess we have our answer.

One is at the table when decisions are made and one tries to inform us (in an entertaining way) and they should be held to different standards. One is being paid millions a year of our money the other doesnt.

South Africa, we need to look at the bigger picture. Gayton McKenzie, once a bank robber, is now a minister – yet we judge @RenaldoGouws for a 14-year-old clip where he was making a point? Let's be consistent with our outrage. If you're judging him for that, ask yourself: Is this the South Africa we stand for? Being white in SA comes with its own challenges, and it's time we acknowledge that.

Make the video like I said, going through the older video while explaining each part of "what you meant & why you said it like that". Apologize at the end & say that you were a young dumb punk kid who didn't know how to articulate himself professionally & that if your words hurt anybody you are sorry. It's weird that we live in a country where someone made a racial statement 15 years ago to illustrate a point and who has apologized for this on many occasions and went through a long period of improving themselves but end up being smeared and attacked by MSM and EFF/MK bots and yet... Dudu Zuma who used her Social Media Profile to promote anarchy in KZN that led to the deaths of many people is sitting pretty in Parliament. It seems the crux of my video from 15 years ago rings true, there are double standards when it comes to racism in South Africa.

It cannot be right that main arteries and a highway are closed because the President has to drive to Parliament (held in the City Hall because Parliament burnt down). The traffic jams are insane. The public has as much right to drive on the streets as the President.

Ok let’s be real here: (if this video is real) @RenaldoGouws was clearly reacting to the song Malema often sings: “K!ll the Boer” Does it give Renaldo the right to use racial slurs? No. However, he was proving a point. If one watches the whole video. He asks what would happen if a white person said “K!ll black people” ( Ironically we are finding out the answer to that in real time.) Consider this: Renaldo used to have a persona: Rendier. The character was explosive, explicit and controversial. Malema uses the artistic format of song to defend his lyrics. Personas can also be interpreted as art. Many performers use personas on stage or in front of a camera. While I do NOT condone the racial slurs Renaldo has used in this old video (again, if it is real) An argument could be made that it falls within artistic expression. So if you hold Renaldo accountable, shouldn’t Malema be held accountable too? We must also remember that the video in question is not recent. Nor was Renaldo involved with the DA at the time. Should we crucify someone for something they said years ago? Where’s the limit? Is there one? And who would really be free from the attacks? Do people not change? Grow? Does context matter? Again, I do not condone the racial slurs. I’m just asking questions I think some people also have. Some of y’all are clouded by hate. But what if the roles were reversed? What if something from your past was suddenly brought to the fore and could cost you everything? You made a mistake. Sure actions have consequences. The consequences need to be fair and apply to everyone. Equally. Just something to think about.
