A sad reminder of how far women still have to go in politics. Even now, women hold only around 13–14% of Lok Sabha seats, and the 33% reservation is still tied to implementation debates and timelines. For every woman who dreamed of seeing herself in Parliament or an assembly, today feels heavy. 💔

Sad day for Indian democracy. Once again, Congress has betrayed the women of this country, like in the past, by their opposition to the Women’s Reservation Bill. History will record this. And the women of India surely will make the Congress pay for this sin.
