For years, people kept asking me the same question. "When are you going to write the forecasting book?" I kept saying "soon." That "soon" turned into a year of writing, rewriting, testing every model, every method, every line of code.

The fact that we all know that even such an offensive and threatening statement will not alarm anybody with power in Germany depresses me to no end. It's unbelievable how far we have fallen as a society. At no point will I ever blame Syrians or Syria for what they're doing - it's all made possible by our naivety, our rotten culture, our declining civilisation. Whatever happens to us in the future will be fully deserved. Future generations better not create victimhood myths because it was white westerners who sold us out to be squeezed like a lemon and nobody else.

Hungary and by extention the Baltics and eastern Europe are a part of Europe, but are on the perifery thry should not pretend that thry are the future of Europe. That a return to parochialism will push Europe forwards.

While most chimping about “Yuropoors,” France doing work to create conditions to re-open Strait via an authorization of use of force from broad coalition, including Gulf states. It would hinge on Russia’s decision to support Iran or not, potentially isolating them.

It is absolutely insane to think Israel is "calling the shots" and some kind of force beyond American dollar hegemony and is being manipulated by it. There is no Israel, it's a theme park, and it is the spearhead of rentier economy and it's ideology. Neocons control the world (who amount to Hegelian right wing Trotskyists).

@ang99030 They were largely forced converts under the Herodian dynasty. Jews dumped into the region to colonize it often ended up being colonized. Often abused of Samaritaness for being mixed racially/ideology. Jesus himself is accused of being a Samaritan for this reason in John 8:48.

For people who say it couldn't be predicted that the Iran war would be this consequential for the global economy, watch this 2012 video of former National Security Advisor Zbigniew Brzezinski 👇 He predicts what did in fact happen: "[Iran] can hurt us a lot... Can you imagine what the consequences would be for us if [...] Iraq was massively destabilized, if Bahrain was set on fire, if the North-Eastern oil fields in Saudi Arabia were attacked... The consequences, the costs would be cumulative... The global economy would be affected so we're playing with fire here." All of this happened. Which goes to show that the US government has been acutely aware for decades of how globally destructive a war on Iran would be for all of us (including on America itself and on its Gulf allies): when Trump says that “nobody” expected Iran to retaliate by targeting US allies in the region (reuters.com/world/middle-e…), it's a bold-faced lie. So the real question is rather: if you know something will set the world on fire, and you do it anyway, and the consequences unfold exactly as predicted - at what point does the rest of the world stop looking at Washington as a fireman and start reckoning with the fact that they're dealing with an arsonist?
