@Angl0Phil @Con_Tomlinson You can't cry at us because we have found someone better to support. I don't cry that you like a lying devious shit bag who says shit just to get votes.

Hearing from sources within Reform that the party plans to "throw the kitchen sink" at Great Yarmouth next week, in an effort to "gamble hard on killing the Restore baby in the cradle". Reform will send party members that the public won't recognise, rather than senior Tory defectors, to tell Great Yarmouth locals that Restore are "nasty rightwingers." Dirty and desperate tactics, that even some within Reform are reaching out to say they aren't comfortable with. So much for @RupertLowe10 being "one angry man" and no threat to Farage...

@MrDave1602 @Sargon_of_Akkad I think the UK is doomed unless Labour and the Tories are destroyed and Reform overs the best chance we will ever have to do that. If the Left win the next election, they will bring in proportional representation and there will be no coming back.

Unless Starmer lied to Parliament (which, according to the government, he did not) and can be shown to have lied to Parliament, he’s not going anywhere is he?

@PolitlcsUK It's over for Keir and it's over for Labour. Imagine waiting for 14 years for this shower of shite. Feel bad for the people who genuinely thought these lot where going to help the country.

@BylineTimes It'll be far more than that. 70% of the Boriswave came here to go straight onto benefits. The cost over their lifetime will be utterly staggering. Free NHS, pensions, public services all paid for and ZERO tax contributions. An undefendable scandal.

@LeeDavidEvansUK On May 7th the majority of the remaining Tory voters will finally realise there is no way back. They are not going to be forgiven. You either vote for Reform in 2029 or you may as well vote for Zack Polanski. It's over and rightly so.

That's partly because (a) much of the Reform vote was Tory and (b) the Tories who stuck with the party have done so for a reason. But if the Reform strategy was to kill the Tories by driving them down to single digits in the polls, I think that's very unlikely to happen.

I spent a lot of time campaigning recently and this chimes with the discussions I had with voters on the right. Basically, the Reform voters I met were much more open to the Tories than the current Tory vote was open to voting Reform. 1/2

@KevinOConnor Adam Silver would deserve that for messing around with the odds. What a legacy. Would be ironic its the Thunder as well who had no problem with tanking until they had built a great team and now they don't like it.

NBA Draft Lottery night just got a lot more interesting now that the Clippers lost in the play-in. The Thunder own the Clippers pick, which will have the 11th (9.4% top 4) or 12th (7.1%) odds. Last year, that’s the slot the Mavs had to move up for Cooper Flagg. Can you imagine?

I worked in Erasmus. The return on inverstement for the UK was pathetic. Turing was far superior. This is the worst sort of gesture politics and for Labour, who I have voted for all my life, to replace a socially fairer scheme to return to one that is socially skewed, literally disgusts me.

@GBPolitcs Go further. They should be stripped naked and paraded through the streets of London like Cersei Lannister whilst followed by someone with a bell shouting "shame". The people are paid extortionate amounts of money to uphold the LAW and instead they help criminals abuse it! Scum!

I think a huge part of the reason why no government has been able to enact difficult pro-growth reforms is that the average voter still believes we remain a rich country. You hear this in politicians’ rhetoric “the sixth richest country in the world”. We’re the sixth largest economy but now far from the richest. Per capita we’re tanking down the rankings. One of the reasons why Poland or China have been able to have growth miracles in recent years is they think like a developing country. They know they were poor and they have to build to get rich. We think we are rich and that we don’t have to build anything anymore, or that when we do, it has to be the most expensive possible version of what we build. Bat tunnels. Fish Discos. Kittiwake hotels. We think we’re rich so we can afford to chase some wealth creators away, afford to mandate public biodiversity net gain on every development in the country, and afford to ratchet up state pension spending five times faster than the rate of growth in the economy. We’re suffering from acute ‘rich country delusion’. It’s only once we realise we’re far poorer than we should be that we can start to fix this nonsense.

@it_is_fareed Once you combine corporation tax and dividend tax, the tax for directors is pretty much the same as income tax anyway. A healthy economy should promote entrepreneurship. When people get rich so does the country.

Really disappointing that the Greens are hitting middle class PAYE workers rather than the National Insurance dodging self-employed micro business owner. Samuel Leeds paying himself £12,500 out of his business with a net worth of £30 million is totally unaffected.
